About this listing
This Arts & Crafts home is situated on quiet courtyard in Historic Meridian Park, just five minutes from downtown Indianapolis. Built in 1912, it has been restored to its original beauty with hardwood floors throughout, quartersawn oak trim, and many convenient modern amenities. Two rustic and spacious bedrooms can accommodate 1-4 guests.
After an exciting day in Indianapolis, come home to relax and recharge in front of the fireplace or for a hot soak in a cast iron clawfoot tub. Any time of year you can stroll around the courtyard or just relax beside the pond and water feature in our backyard (a certified Natural Wildlife Area).
Nestled in a charming courtyard, featuring a lovely greenspace and sidewalks, this truly unique location is right in the heart of one of the city's most important historic districts. You'll feel like you're in a nature sanctuary even though you're just a few minutes from all the action in the thriving downtown and Broad Ripple districts.
* Continental breakfast
* Full-time on-site property manager to attend to all guest questions, needs, and even help coordinate custom tailored group meals and gatherings in the courtyard.
* Rides to/from airport and to/from downtown (Lucas Oil Stadium, Convention Center, etc.) upon request.
You will access to most of the house, plus back patio and front porch. I may be around, but out of the way. Your bedrooms will be private and comfortable.
Interaction with guests
I am available to assist with any event planning and hospitality, or virtually invisible; guests' preference. I can even provide rides to and from nearby locations (such as downtown or the airport), thereby saving guests the great expense of car rental and parking fees.
Beautiful historic neighborhood, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We have a strong neighborhood organization and a tight-knit group of residents, who know each other well. The area is friendly and safe with a pocket park conveniently located just north of the courtyard. Perfect for strolling around anytime of day or night.
I can provide transportation to nearby locations.
No smoking. No pets. No additional guests beyond what is agreed upon in rental. Guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy the accommodations, but are required to respect the house rules of conduct. Excessively loud or unruly behavior will not be permitted.
My neighbors and I are very good friends. We've all lived on Washington Court for several years and have always enjoyed the tranquility and community that this intimate courtyard setting provides. We invite you to share this relaxing and comfortable experience in our cozy and spacious historic homes, each only a few short steps down the sidewalk from the other.
