The space

I take pride in my aquarium, so please enjoy the relaxing qualities that the fish bring to the living room. For a little extra entertainment you can agree to feed them each day for me (it would be appreciated and it's a simple case of dropping in a few mussels), but if not I can arrange a friend to do this at a previously agreed convenient time.

Guest access

The entire apartment is yours to enjoy during your stay.

Interaction with guests

I am available at all times on my Mobile phone if needed for anything and I won't be there during your stay as I am only letting the apartment at times when I go away on holiday.

The neighbourhood

Altona is one of, if not the coolest district in Hamburg. There is a fantastic cultural mix there which is reflected in the shops, restaurants and general bohemian atmosphere.

Getting around

The apartment is 2 minutes walk to Altona train and bus station allowing easy access not only to Greater Hamburg and the surrounding areas but Europe wide as it is a second main train station for Hamburg and the connections can take you anywhere. The car train loads and unloads here also.

Other things to note

Parking is "most of the time" very easy to find on the surrounding streets. I usually park directly outside the door.

House Rules

Please treat my apartment with the same care you would in your own home. No shoes please (definitely no high heels on the pitch pine flooring as it's very soft and damages easily!). Slippers/house shoes will be provided if needed. Furthermore please be careful when moving furniture (chairs etc) and try to avoid heavy footfall as the sound transfers quite easily to neighbours (the old timber floors are not so well sound insulated). Smoking only on the balcony please (ashtrays provided).
