I had a lovely stay at Casa Mia. The room was spotless, very comfortable and we were hosted by Gabriela's sister who was very attentive and available for any questions I had. The location was good, extremely close to the beach but 15 min walk to La Punta and 25 min to Zicatela which I didn't mind. Two amazing breakfast spots around the corner from their place! I would definitely stay here again when I return to Puerto Escondido!

The property was as described and as it appears in the pictures. In addition, the hosts were extremely nice; they were always trying to make me feel home. They shared their food with me and were always smiling :). Nice place for families looking for a quite place to stay. The pool is great for relaxing after a morning surfing session, but it might too cold for swimming in the afternoon. The room was really cozy and had great sunrise views. Though, for light sleepers, roosters and dogs are quite loud at 4 a.m. On the other hand, the bathroom was in poor conditions: the sink had no running water, the w.c. floater had to be pushed back manually and water from the shower would spread all around the bathroom. There was no hot water.

This was the most amazing place my family and I could have stayed. Rooms were clean and cool, staff was super friendly, plunge pool was amazing, close to punta playa, great restaurants near by! Quiet and secluded courtyard, and very safe! We will definitely stay here again!

Graciela’s place is an absolute joy to stay both from a accommodation comfort standpoint and quality of guest experience. All amenities are as presented. A very comfortable living area to rest. Sheets are clean, complementary soap is provided. Comparatively speaking with other airbnb rentals this place is excellent. The additional bed allows for families to stay comfortable at the location. Overall, I was very pleased with room. The grounds of the location are very peaceful and serene. Upon walking into the property there's a nice spacious outdoor area with a modern design pool. There's a huge dining / kitchen area / TV area that was my favorite place to hang out while on the property. Overall, the combination of the pleasant room and spacious, peaceful property allow for a very relaxing day should it be spent on the property alone. Graciela's family was on property during my stay. They are the most welcoming people and have such a calm vibe to them that they amplify the serenity to the entire experience. Overall, it was a comfortable experience on the property. I highly recommend this location for your stay in PXM.

Casa Mia is perfectly located a five minute walk from the beach and a 15 minute oceanside walk from a La Punta, which has a few restaurants, bars, and is also where the surfable waves were during our stay. There's also a few small stores and a restaurant 2 minutes down the sand road. The room itself was as described, certainly more than great for our needs, watch out for the ants though. We didn't miss hot showers or wifi at all. If you're a light sleeper, be warned there's no AC (which means windows open) and there are roosters crowing from about 4am, but most listings for Puerto Escondido around this price range will have these same issues. The compound is great, grassy with a pool and a kitchen with stove and a tv (two channels haha). What really made our stay great though was the hosts! While we unfortunately never got to meet Graciela, her family was on hand to provide us everything we needed, and even cooked for us one day and found us some coconuts to drink, fresh from the tree. They didn't speak English at all, so luckily we knew some Spanish, although it'd probably be perfectly fine if you didn't know any. Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend staying here!

I never made it to this booking because I ended up staying in Zipolite instead with some friends. Graciela was super helpful with tips about how best to travel from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido so she was very nice to me even though I did not stay in her place in the end.

Our stay in Puerto Escondido was magical. 3 min walk to the beach that was basically private, - very little people in that part of the beach. Zicatela Punta is a bit further away from the main touristy part of the town, it is quiet, yet it has enough infrastructure: grocery stores, a few hip bars and restaurants, as well as local cute cheap eateries. The room was clean, bright and simple. The water in the shower is room temperature, but that's not a problem, since it's so hot outside. We enjoyed not having wifi and being cut out of the world in our little paradise, but if you do need connection, there is a few spots very close where you can find wifi. It was nice to have a pool on hot days around noon, when it's too hot to stay on the beach. It was so lovely of our host to give us coconuts straight off the palm tree.:) Thank you Valentina and Graciela!

Hello everyone, I'm from an indigenous background Mexico, born in Puerto Escondido.

I love our planet earth and listening to the beautiful stories from the amazing people from around the world like you and me. Appreciating the different types of food available from around the world.

I like to help people as much as I can, and I have a strong relationship with my family, especially my mother who I love dearly.

I enjoy the ocean, mountains, rivers and you can always find me at the beach watching my boys surfing.

I hope you can enjoy Puerto Escondido for what it has to offer, if you give it a chance you will fall in love with our beautiful culture :)
