The space

I have a one bedroom full house to rent with approximately (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). It is very cozy and quiet place. It is available for a temporary rent from 3 nights to 3 months.

It is good for from 1 person to a family/friends of 4.

It is located in an amazing and very small village of Azoia, in Sintra, just 2km from the magical "Cabo da Roca", which is the most western point of Europe.

The house is located 45minutes from Lisbon, in between the amazing mountains of Sintra and the Atlantic ocean, offering a bit of everything. Close by, you can find the famous Castle of Mouros and the Palace of Pena. Then, there are great beaches and an endless Atlantic Ocean with its beautiful sunsets.

The village of Azoia has a micro-climate that is unique. Our neighbors from the village are great people, always very helpful and super nice.

The best way to arrive to the house is by car, offering then the option to travel to the mountains, beaches, touristic spots, cafes, restaurants, etc.

The house has a laundry machine (if needed), clean sheets and towels.
The rent includes all utilities: gas, electricity, water, hot water/heating and TV. Check-in/check-outs are at 12pm, but times can be adjusted if necessary.

There are really nice restaurants and cafes in walking distance. Some restaurants are ideal for a romantic dinner.

About You:
You will have to be serious, clean, responsible and quiet. Ideally you would be in town for a short stay.

such a perfect place to escape the business of city living. the house is so well equipped for preparing food, cooking and eating etc and the food so damn good in Portugal it really was a highlight for us poor Brits to be able to eat so well for so cheap! the bus 403 served us well, leaving from Cascais to Sintra twice an hour and going right past Marias house. Ursa is the nearest beach that's a modest 15 mins to the cliff were you then have to hike down - take the left path! - to reach a gorgeous secluded spot surrounded by huge stone cliffs. breathtaking landscape. We were greeted by Maria 2 who explained everything to us in Portuguese, which neither of us speak. It was brilliant as she made everything perfectly understandable with the use of wild hand gestures and roars of laughter. Beware there is no supermarket in Azoia but you can get coffee, snacks from the local haunt. Also 2 or 3 great restaurants. Would recommend the Brazilian place 5 mins down the hill - say hi to Caio for us!

A perfect little house from which to explore the Sintra area. We had such a lovely stay. Getting to the house and getting inside was easy (Maria's lovely neighbour showed us around and even though we couldn't understand her she was so friendly it didn't matter!) The village is on the way to Cabo do Roca so has restaurants and a cafe to choose from but its also a great base to go off and explore the near by gorgeous villages and beaches. It has a really well equipped kitchen and lovely area to relax outside also. Thanks Maria for a lovely stay in your special home.

We were greeted by Maria's neighbor which is a lovely lady. We didn't speak Portuguese but she showed us around and we did not have any problems settling in. The neighborhood is very quiet and authentic thus suitable for a quiet getaway, not so much if you're after a busy holiday. Cascais and Sintra are 20 minutes car ride away and Cabo de Roca and a hike to beautiful beach Ursa is couple minutes away by car. The house itself is lovely and simple, although might take a while to heat up in the cold season and open fireplace might be a bit problematic. All in all its perfect if you're after a very authentic local experience and not touristy comfort.

Response from Maria:
Hi Jonas Thank you four your suggestions, it is very important four my next guests. Sorry, about the fireplace, normally Maria heating before the guests arrive, but because you arrived at lunch time, she thought is not necessary. Maria.

Such a lovely place! My partner and I were looking for a self contained, cozy, log cabiny type place to relax in for five nights and that's exactly what we got. The fire place was gorgeous and Maria provided plenty of wood to use for the whole time.

The house was absolutely stunning, even better than the pictures showed. It was so lovely and cool even when it was really hot outside. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need, but we ended up eating out because the food in the area was so great. We didn't have a car, but it was really easy to reach by bus. Close to some beautiful sights like Capo da Roca and Sintra. The cafe and the restaurant in the village are both great. There is no shop, but a bus goes every hour to the nearest town to get supplies. The lady who helped us when we arrived spoke no English (and we spoke no Portuguese) but it wasn't a problem at all, she was so lovely and helpful. Really recommend if you want a relaxing stay near to stunning scenery in a beautiful house.

We just got back from our stay at Maria's family house in Azoia. First of all the place has the perfect location, allowing for short trips to the beauties of Sintra (Palacio de Pena is a must-see), Cascais, Cabo da Roca within walking distance, Lisbon and whatever you find attractive. Second, the house itself is a reason to make the trip by itself - both me and my girlfriend are architects and in our humble professional opinion, the place was immaculate. Thank you so much for those beautiful 5 days, Maria.

I am Portuguese decorator, in my fifties.
I love to have a coffee by the ocean and ready the newspaper.

My house is placed in a very special place, in between the mountains and the ocean.
It is always super clean and tidy. It is our family's house, so we take care of it with extra attention.

I can guarantee you will have an amazing holidays there!
Come and you will see what I mean.
