About this listing

A very private room accessed via an ancient slate spiral staircase. There is loads of space and a walk in wet room en-suite. A sofa bed is in the rooms so ideal to relax and read or watch telly! An extra person would hold an extra charge.

The space

Trevigue is a 16th century farmhouse perched high on the North Cornish cliffs, mentioned in the Doomsday book. The house has been lovingly restored retaining the original slate floors and oak beamed ceilings while having everything you would expect for todays discerning traveller. Scrumptious beds and seriously fresh Cornish food.

Guest access

There is a large sitting room with deep comfortable sofas, 50 inch plasma tv and cinema sound bluray DVD player, large roaring log woodburning fire for those chilly evenings and the families lifetime collection of books to read. There is secure barn space by the carpark for bikes/surfboards.

Interaction with guests

The family have always lived here and can offer recommendations on what to do and where go or give you ultimate privacy if that is what you prefer. The bed and breakfast is set up so our guests have full privacy and space to use as their own.

Other things to note

A superb location for walking the South West Way footpath on the door step, wild running, cycling the twisty Cornish lanes, fabulous surfing beaches on our door step, secluded beach just before the farmhouse via a cliff path. The area is steeped in history including medieval churches and even Roman signal stations!

This was the most beautiful and memorable AirBnB experience we've had so far. From the moment we arrived Gayle made us feel welcome in her home, with homemade cake and drinks in the courtyard. The farmhouse is authentic, cosy, clean and has everything you need. Breakfast was delicious. Our bedroom was stunning!! It was newly renovated and had a really beautiful ensuit bathroom. Never stayed anywhere so charming. The location is great for anyone looking to get away from it all, with a stunning walk down into Crackington Haven and panorama views of the coast and the countryside. There was also a cliff hike that we would have liked to do. Thanks again to Gayle and family for a wonderful stay.

Trevigue is a truly special location, with a 1000 warm welcomes. It operates as a B&B and the attention to detail, Gayle, Henry and the rest of her staff make you feel so welcome... The Big Cam, is spacious and the shower is easily somewhere you could spend the day. Hearty breakfasts and cake and tea on arrival, Trevigue might be where I decide to retire to a life of fabulous views, comfortable beds, and gluttonous delicious food. Barker the pooch is also adorable. Do the cliff walk down to the beach even if you are not fit. It will give you a taster of your own private heaven. It is out of town but easily accessible to everything. There are restaurants nearby... definitely recommend eating in the farmhouse one evening. Cannot recommend here enough and I will return without doubt sooner rather than later.
