Quarryman’s cottage built around 1855 and located inside the iconic Snowdonia National Park within the traditional Welsh village of Trawsfynydd. This two bed cottage sleeps up to four people.

The Lake
Traswfynydd lake is set amongst sheep, horse & cow fields all separated by dry stone walls with a beautiful mountainous back drop offering relaxation in abundance and all within a short walk from the cottage.

The space
The cottage has central heating with double glazed windows & doors. You will have free access to the super fast WiFi.

I allow one house trained pet, your pet should not be left alone within the cottage. I charge a one of fee of £25.00 for your pet as this covers the extra cleaning required.

The Lounge
Exposed beams, central heating & fairy lights blend the scene offering a warm & cosy feel. The lounge has a 40 inch Smart TV wired to super fast WiFi enabling viewing of all associated free apps ‘’there is NO TV aerial’’. A DVD player has also been provided.

On the book shelf you will find a selection of DVDs, books, board & quiz games all provided for evening entertainment. Local guide & tourist books detailing some of the attractions on offer within the National Park can also be found.

The Kitchen
The well equipped kitchen has a washing machine, microwave, electric hob, electric cooker, fridge, tassimo coffee maker ‘pods not supplied’, toaster, sandwich toaster, kettle, smoothie maker, cutlery & crockery and all wares. I have also supplied a slow cooker enabling preparation of meals before venturing out. An Alexa has also been installed so you can listen to music whilst enjoying a glass or two of wine.

The Bathroom
The bathroom is fitted with a bath and over head shower. Clean fresh bath towels are supplied for guests, there is also a hair dryer for guests personal use. There is no shaving socket within the bathroom. When showering, taller guests should be mindful of the exposed beam which has been identified with a hazard sign.

The Bedrooms
Both rooms have double beds. Room one has a view out to rolling sheep fields whilst room two looks up to the stars. Both rooms are centrally heated with double glazed windows, both bedrooms offer a relaxing warm cosy cottage feel. Hot water bottles are also supplied to ensure your bed can be warmed on the coldest of Welsh winter nights.

The cottage is situated on the boundaries of the village of Trawsfynydd set back from a main road. Trawsfynydd is a traditional Welsh village being well placed to Lake Trawsfynydd.

The village offers a convenience store with post office, off licence and general store which is extremely well stocked their is also a pharmacy and a second shop selling crafts and tourist memorabilia etc. A petrol station can be found just off the main road.

The village pub is the Cross Foxes with a further three pubs just a short drive from the cottage these being the Grapes Hotel, the Bryn Arms and the Oakley Arms Hotel all offer a decent menu with excellent service.

From the cottage it’s just a short walk via the village to access the eye watering lake of Trawsfynydd. The lake can be walked, cycled or run around, it’s just over 8 miles in circumference offering bridges, a dam, mountains, rolling sheep & cattle fields with their dry stone walls and a cafe where you can sit and soak up the outstanding beauty.
Monday evenings around 5.30pm the mobile fish and chip van visits the village. Grab your camera, some chips and a bottle of wine and walk over to Trawsfynydd lake I promise you will adore the rural views.

When out exploring the beautiful countryside it’s fields and woodlands please make sure you close all gates that you go through.

Remember to take any waste back to the cottage and place in the appropriate bin. Please do not litter the beautiful scenery of this iconic National Park.
