The complex of buildings that make up the Caiano Farmhouse was built around a farmhouse located on the ancient route of the road that connected the Val di Sieve with the Casentino, lying in the foothills of Mount Falterona.

This is the most wonderful place that we have ever stayed! We have traveled all over the world with our two sons who are in wheelchairs and everything about Guido's place was marvellous. The pictures on Airbnb don't do the grand home and garden justice. It is a very large old rustic home with many interesting family antiquities. Guido's mother and father were very interesting people and getting to know them over our 2 week stay was best parts of visiting Italy. We had privacy in the huge space but also enjoyed living on a family estate. The pool is beautiful, as are the grounds, gardens and orchards. The area is stunning and very quiet and non touristy which was amazing after spending time in Rome and Florance which are both crowded and crazy with tourists. At this property you can travel in all directions to explore wonderful Italian medieval sites and the chianti region is very close, as is Florence, Sienna and Arrezo. There are also wonderful little towns close by to explore and buy groceries or anything that you may need during your stay. I highly recommend this accommodation and my husband and I sincerely hope to come back and visit next summer!! We will miss our newfound Italian family, especially Paola, Guido's mother, who we wanted to adopt and bring back to Canada!! Goodbye Paola, to us you were the best part of visiting Italy!

Our stay in the beautiful Tuscan hills was amazing. The location is breathtaking, peaceful and the house was huge and had everything we needed, and more. The host and his mother were great to deal with, we found amazing local restaurants and explored nearby Florence and spent other days in the generous grounds and hanging out by the pool. Thank you.

We just returned from three days at the Fattoria di Caiano and had a wonderful time. The apartment was absolutely gorgeous as were the grounds of this old family estate. Before we arrived Guido had given us recommendations for wine tastings, restaurants in the area and hiking trails. This property is really perfectly located to enjoy a mixture of activities. We spent one day in Florence and San Gimignano, another one hiking in the beautiful hills, we did a wine and oil tasting, and we visited the famous knife manufacturers in Scarpiera. The ambience of this property is very unique. Guido's parents graciously gave us a tour of the of their villa which is also on the estate- truly impressive! We wholeheartedly recommend this property, it's a real gem!

We had an absolutely wonderful 4 days stay at Fattoria di Caiano. The house is part of a family estate. It has so much character and is very spaceous, and it is surrounded by a huge romantic garden with a stunning view. We spent the first days just being there, and enjoying the atmospere and the lovely pool. I could easaly have continued to do so for a much longer time, but since the surroundings of Caiano are very tempting, we also spent time driving through the hills, enjoying nature, discovering nice restaurants and visiting Florence, which is easy to reach. Although we did not meet Guido in person, he was very helpful giving us all the information we needed . His parents, very kind people who live in another house at the estate, made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this place, and will definitely come back! Thank you so much for a wonderful time at a very special place!
