We stayed in Giacomo's apartment for a week in March 2016 with two children: 7 years old amd 7 months old and we enjoyed our stay very much.
The apartment has two rooms: one with a matrimonial bed, and the second one with 2 separate beds that can be put together. There is also a kitchenette with a small saloon, and a terrace with a comfy autdoors bed and nice, round table. If we were there in a warmer season, I am sure we would use the terrace more often.
The kitchenette is really small, but when you have a skillful cook in your holiday team, he or she will be able to prepare delicious meals.
At the time when we stayed there, there was no washing machine (no problem, because we knew there wouldn't be one), but there is a place in Villasimius where you can wash your clothes for the whole year round, and it's near the apartment.
The apartment has nice colours: everything is harmonious. The beautiful blue vase that you'll find on the shelf in a dayroom was always filled with Sardinian meadow flowers by our 7 years old daughter.
The place is not far from the beach, but if you don like walking, I would suggest to rent a car. We love walking, so this 35 minutes walk to the beach and 35 minutes walk home was a pleasure. Every day we walked by a meadow with Sardinian sheeps, which made our daughter happy:)
We were there in low season, so we had one open supermarket about 1 km from us, but I'm sure that in the season you would have a lot of shops and restaurants open near the apartment.
A useful note for people traveling with small children: near Giacomo's apartment there is a pharmacy where you can buy ecological food for infants and diapers with the Nordic Swan certifficate - for us it was very important and useful.
Giacomo is a fantastic host: we could count on him, he was really nice, willing to help and make our stay as pleasant as possible. He gave us a map of Villasimius and suggested what we could do.
Summing up: we do recommend Giacomo's place as a nice starting base to explore Villasimius, Punta Molentis (with pink flamingos!), and other wonders of Southern Sardinia.
