When you want to be comfortable, but you don't want to overpay! This place has more extras than most cabins that cost twice the price. From a truly fully-stocked kitchen (with an incredible coffee station!) to a comfortable bed with high quality sheets, to all the little extras that you only notice when they AREN'T there - charging ports, plush bath robes, even a towel warmer! And it's actually CLEAN!

We take the title of *host* seriously. We have provided a local guide to the area that we wrote ourselves, with our personal recommendations - and warnings! We are also available throughout your stay to assist with recommendations, advice, or any issues that might pop up.
We're also two regular people, not a random virtual assistant in another country who has never even been to the Smokies, or an out of state *investor* who doesn't visit. We happen to know everything there is to know about this property, we stay here ourselves on a regular basis (so we KNOW that everything is up to our standards, or better!) and we know a whole lot about the area, so that we can help you plan your best trip!
Real talk: many cabin owners live out of state, and very rarely - if ever - visit their cabins, and the recommendations they give you are the same as anything you can find yourself in a five minute internet search. We are in the national park year round and have hiked lots of trails, we eat at the local restaurants, we experience the local attractions so we can give you honest information. There is an extensive guidebook in the cabin, that has instructions on how to use everything (when the alternative is an out of town owner that may have no clue what is even in their cabin), but also our recommendations (and tips on places to avoid), and there are local hiking guidebooks there too. But more importantly, we are only a message away if you want a personal recommendation for hiking trails, sightseeing, restaurants, or anything else!
If you’re up for some fun, Ober Gatlinburg is within 5 miles, as are all the Downtown Gatlinburg attractions like the SkyBridge, Anakeesta, Ripley's Aquarium. We’re a stone's throw from the Arts & Crafts Community, where you can watch local artisans do their work. Dollywood and Splash Country are 12 miles away. Experience it all knowing that the hot tub is waiting for you back at the cabin to help you recharge when the day’s adventures end.
We have a Roku with live TV service, including both local networks and cable channels. And of course we have high speed internet and a selection of DVDs.
Bears do frequent the cabin grounds, particularly in the warmer months, so you may see one during your stay. They'll usually just walk right through the driveway, and they'll only really stop to look for food (or trash), so we ask that you keep all trash INSIDE the trash cage in the driveway, and do not leave coolers or food on the porch or inside your car. They are capable of opening car doors and cabin doors, so we recommend keeping everything locked. It is VERY rare for a Tennessee black bear to be violent or aggressive. Just give them their space and enjoy a closer "visit" that you might not get elsewhere!
This unit is the ground floor unit of the cabin; the upstairs unit is an entirely separate unit with no shared living space. Each unit has its own hot tub, operates on independent HVAC, it's kind of like two condos in one building.
If you have more people traveling with you, or you want to spread out, some of our other Gatlinburg properties are just steps away. The unit upstairs has a separate parking area and separate entrance and accommodates two travelers. The cabin next door is identical in setup with a single unit on the top and a separate one on the bottom. Let us know if you'd like to reserve all four units in both buildings for your family reunion or week away with friends.

This is the lower, 1 bedroom unit of a two unit cabin. The only thing on the lower floor of this building is this unit. There is a unit on the upper floor as well, with a separate entryway. You will have access to the lower unit, the lower patio space, and the shared firepit.
Other things to note
The minimum age to reserve this cabin is 21. Maximum of two humans allowed. This is not a child-friendly property.
Absolutely NO PETS are allowed. No dogs, no cats, no fish, no goats. If you bring an unauthorized pet (ALL pets are unauthorized), you will be charged a $250 fee and your reservation will immediately be terminated.
No trailers are allowed. There is enough parking for ONE vehicle. If you have an oversized vehicle, be forewarned that maneuvering is tight, but doable. You may be more comfortable in one of our upstairs units if you have a large vehicle. We park our F-150 at this cabin all the time, it’s not difficult to get in and out unless you make it more difficult than it needs to be!

Each unit is self-contained and is entirely separate from the other - separate entrances (upper unit entrance is in front, lower unit is built into a hill, so entrance is in the back), separate living spaces, separate hot tubs with privacy curtains. The lower unit shares a parking area with the guests in the lower unit of the neighboring cabin.
If you want a super secluded cabin, this isn't it. We've been lucky to have fantastic guests who are respectful of one another and we've never had an issue.

About a mile away are the basics - Food City (groceries, firewood), a couple of fast food places (McDonald's and Subway), some good restaurants (there is a book in the cabin with some of our recommendations), and some great local shops. We are in a neighborhood that is part vacation rentals, part permanent residents. It's quiet, but it's not secluded. This unit has a neighbor that is our other vacation rental property and a neighbor on the other side behind some trees that is also a vacation rental property. But many of the homes you will pass on your drive to the neighborhood are permanent residents.
