Bright, sunny, and roomy studio in historic Back Bay with beautiful views of the Charles river. Within walking distance of many attractions and public transportation.

The space

Extremely sunny, roomy studio in Back Bay overlooking the Charles river. Located on the historic Beacon Street. Just a few-minute walk to the T, Copley Square, the Prudential Center, Boston Common, Fenway Park, and Newbury Street. After a long day, enjoy the serenity of the river views and the comfort of this residence.

Although the kitchen is small, the appliances are full size and the large breakfast bar provides plenty of space to cook and eat on. One huge plus - you will never run out of hot water in the bathroom as it is central. Clean towels and linens are included.

The main space is laid out with plenty of open space. The queen bed was recently purchased and is comfortable. It also has a year-round weight down comforter. The Parsons desk is sufficiently large for big projects, and daylight hits it for the majority of the morning and afternoon.

Guest access

The guest has access to the entire apartment. The apartment has a buzzer to allow you to let people in for food deliveries, etc.

Interaction with guests

I am not usually in Boston, so most of my communications are remote. However, my assistant and I are very responsive via Airbnb messaging, and I have local maintenance and cleaning services on call should you need anything.

Other things to note

I can sometimes accommodate early check-in and late check-out, but it varies. Don't hesitate to check with me in advance! I can always accommodate late arrival.

It is an older building, which is part of its charm, but please note that the common area building hallways, carpeting, walls etc. are not as updated and maintained as inside the apartment itself. The landlord has recently been replacing some of the older stairwell railings. The stairs are still fully functional. However, this work could pose an issue for people with mobility difficulties who need a sturdy railing.

The apartment is on a very quiet street with neighbors who have always been quiet. However, there is a road behind the building with some traffic noise. Many guests have commented on the apartment being quiet and peaceful, but a couple have also mentioned traffic noise. It's a matter of perspective, but I consider the apartment quiet - but not silent. I provide a white noise machine next to the bed.

Please do not put anything other than toilet tissue in the toilet.

We really enjoyed our stay in this studio in Boston. Great location, beautiful neighbourhood, lovely views and within walking distance to pretty much all the major sights. Plenty of space and really comfortable too. Marina was a great host - we had some queries and she responded super fast and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. An ideal Boston base!

This is a beautiful apartment in a lovely residential area of Boston. Marina was extremely helpful and responsive to any problems. It is very close to good shops and all amenities so there is absolutely no need to have a car, unless like us you are visiting family outside the Boston area. If you do have a car parking is a complete nightmare because all local parking is residents only, and beware because even the metered parking reverts to residents only after 6 pm. After climbing the steep stairs it was a delight to open the door onto such a lovely view across the river.

It is a great location but we were very disappointed when we arrived. The apartment was not cleaned from the previous occupant. The garbage was not taken out, the bathroom was filthy (hair everywhere), nail clippings on the floor, dishes not properly cleaned, etc.

I stayed in the studio apartment for 11 nights. Marina had been very helpful and accommodating re: making the booking some months ago, however, a lack of communication re: meeting up, meant I was left waiting outside the apartment for over an hour. Finally, after sending an email, a friend of Marina's came to let me in. Marina was out of the country during my stay, but her friend, who looks after the place when she is away, was very helpful and left her number in case I needed anything. The apartment is situated in the leafy 'Back Bay' area of Boston. It was very comfortable but I wouldn't call it luxurious. The kitchen and bathroom are in need of some up-dating but are in full working order. The apartment overlooks the river and a six-lane busy road but the building itself is very quiet. There is no lift so it can be a struggle with luggage. The TV and wi-fi worked well. There was a hairdryer and towels but no toaster and nowhere to grill bread in the oven, that I could see. The apartment is located about 10 min+ walk from the nearest T; 30 mins+ walk from the nearest WholeFoods; 20 mins walk to Boston Public Gardens/Common and about 8 mins to Newbury Street. There is a Shaw's supermarket located near Copley Square, however I didn't discover this until my penultimate day!

A lovely flat in Back Bay. It is a spacious studio, nicely furnished and with a great view of the Charles river. It needs a little TLC. We could not make contact with Marina. There was no answer from her cell phone and the mailbox was full. Somebody did contact us after a couple of days offering assistance. However this did not stop us enjoying our stay.
