Completely cut off from the world! A separate house on a hill, surrounded only by fields, meadows and forest. Family, authentic, with a beautiful nearly 100-year history. Extremely renovated, warm and clean. A kind of gate to Belarus and a place on the path of a freely wandering herd of bison. Here the landscape calms down, the air heals, cuckoo cuckoos rejoice, and the work of bees and the tapping of the woodpecker inspires. Peace & Quiet for free. Welcome!

The space
Podlaska Cottage allows you to taste peaceful, harmonized with the nature of old rural life: draw spring water from a well in the yard, prepare dishes on a live fire, bake dishes in a spirit oven, smoke a finger in a kitchen smokehouse, buy organic eggs, cheese, milk or cream on the market in a nearby town. In spring and summer, take care of the country garden, gather vegetables, dig potatoes and prepare dishes from them. The brave are waiting for a hand scythe and tall grass. After hard work, rest on a bench in the shade, near a centuries-old linden tree and taste the prepared dishes outdoors. After finishing the meal, take an afternoon nap in a hammock under an apple tree, even tastier than dinner. In the autumn, go mushrooming in nearby forests, prepare dishes or dry and vector. Also this time of year, the old orchard is always generous in its fetuses. In winter, however, chop wood and burn in stoves, and after the hard day, settle down in a comfortable rocking chair and warm the flames dancing in the fireplace.
The cottage offers close proximity to the forest, a walk on the hills, a walk in the forest, hunting and hunting with the lens of a game camera. And with any luck, you can even stay at home, watch wild forest animals (roe deer, hare, wild boar) through the windows. In the vicinity of Podlaskie Chata you can encounter a wandering herd of bison. It is also a great place for bike trips through forest and field paths around Sokólsko Hills, from which you can see the mysterious Belarus.
I wish my humble wooden country cottage to become a sanctuary for anyone who needs to break away from the world, stop and rest for a while.
Dear Guests, make yourselves at home.

Where you’ll be

Knyszewicze, Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland

The Knyszewicze Cottage is an isolated agritourism farm located in the Sokółska Upland. A mysterious dirt road leads to it, but it is completely passable. Around 3 km from the border with Belarus on a straight line. Nearby, picturesque, deserted villages with wooden cottages, a rightful 1733 church, old windmills, fields, and forests on the horizon. Wildlife abundance. A herd of toilets, hares, deer, and deer. Flying or walking storks or cranes. Vibrant through fairytale hills, bike paths with expansive landscapes. Within a short drive you can find the Tatar villages of Bohonika and Krushensky, Belarusian Hrodna nad Germany, the multicultural town of Krynki and the beautiful Supraśl with its 16th-century right monastery, and most of all the powerful Bory of the Knyshan Desert. Quiet, space, and wilderness-it's Podlas!

During your stay

I welcome the guests, and then I go to a completely different place where I live permanently. If there is such a request, I help guests who stay longer to organize a one-day trip to Grodno. I can also be a personal guide and guardian.
