Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday in Istria. This is absolutely one of the loveliest places I have had the pleasure of staying in. Right from booking the experience was super, both Graziella and Jens were very quick to communicate and we received a very informative and clear info pack before arrival. We had such a lovely welcome from Lina Kersikla, from the neighbouring farm ( who make the most delicious olive oil ), who showed us all we needed to know and was extremely professional. We also met her lovely daughter who speaks excellent English - it was a pleasure to meet them both and hear about their farm and produce. The house exceeded our expectations, attention to detail is fantastic, from lovely smelling hand soap in the bathroom to a first aid kit, lovely blue and white stripped beach towels, and an extremely well ordered and equipped kitchen ( we cooked in almost every night ) the bedroom is gorgeous, bed extremely comfortable and the shower area with double sinks is to die for :) our terrace was a beautiful place to relax on the sun loungers or under the big sun umbrellas, we had some gorgeous dinners out there and even saw two deer running past! As for the location, views are beautiful, we walked up the back to Groznjan for the Jazz festival, which is a delightful town ( even managing to walk home in the dark! ) we highly recommend the kaya bar for drinks and the Bastia restaurant for the rump steak with truffles! There is a little vine yard over the valley who are the same family as the Kersiklas, they do an excellent Muscat. We did a lot of day trips in the car aswell so it's perfectly located to explore the rest of Istria. If you are considering a holiday to Istria then you absolutely must must stay here. Thank you again Jens, Graziella, Lina and Daniela for a really special holiday

We had a wonderful stay here! The apartment exceeded our expectations. Clean, all the modern amenities you could ever need and a wonderful quiet location. Jens was a wonderful host, he was attentive and quick to any of or questions or needs. The location is rural, so expect narrow, curvy dirt roads and a distance to grocery stores, beaches, etc. Also you will meet the wonderfully friendly neighbors up the road which can provide you with wine, eggs, olive oil, fresh vegetables and bread. They were very nice and charming. We would recommend staying here.

Jens and Graziella are very thoughtful and well organized hosts. The arrival experience is comparable to the one of a very personal hotel, as they prepared restaurant recommendations, the route how to get there, a baby bed for our 8 months old son (!!) and many useful amenities around the house, from small shampoo bottles to a little first aid kit and coffee, tea, kitchen towels etc... readily available from the get go. Communication with Jens and Graziella was very easy and always quick, kind and useful. They have great taste and renovated Apartment Verde and the entire house beautifully. Casa di Graziella is stunning and located amidst olive trees and fields, which you can overlook from your private terrace. We loved our meals al fresco and bought our fresh foods from farms in the area, fish from the market and olive oil from the lovely neighbours. The Kersikla family services the house very well and are so kind. Croatia is easy to travel, Istria feels partially undiscovered and can be traveled by bike, foot or, like we did due to our baby, by car. It was so relaxing to be there and we would love to return!

Apartment Verde of Casa di Graziella is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation in the nature. The house itself is located on a little hill, perfect to take a rest in the nature. The appartment is brand new and comes with everything important for your stay. Graziella and Jens really did a marvellous job in renovating the old farmhouse and filling it with modern interior. We were delighted by the bedroom with directly connected shower and a view right down the hill from the bed. The kitchen is well equipped (incl. dishwasher) and you will find everything you need to prepare yourself a lovely dinner. In front of the apartment you'll find a big terrace, where we regularly enjoyed to recline or had our own bbq in the evening sun. The next big supermarket is located in Novigrad, about 15 car-minutes away from Casa di Graziella. You can also get fresh vegetables and oil from the neighboring farm. The surrounding area and whole Istrien can be easily explored by car. We made excursions to almost every big city from the west coast to the south and even visited Istrien's east coast which never took more than a hour to reach our destination. Furthermore we would suggest travelling by car, because reaching the peaceful Casa di Graziella might be somehow difficult otherwise. We had a wonderful stay in Croatia, thankfully to Graziella's and Jens' wonderful house and appartment and can highly recommend Casa di Graziella to everyone who enjoys staying in the nature apart from stressful cities or too touristic hotels.

We spent 11 days in the apartment Verde during July 2014. We really enjoyed living in the nature and away from the crowds but still having all comfort of modern city life. The apartment was equipped with everything you need. Jens and Graziella have carefully thought about all things that their guests might look for. They also did a really good job with respect to the interior design. This apartement stands out of the big crowd of standard tourist homes. It has a style that makes you feel at home or even makes you wish it would be your home ;-) The location is great for day trips by car in Istria. We visited Porec, Rovinj, Rabac, Trieste in Italy and even more nice places. We highly recommend the apartment Verde and we also thank Jens and Graziella for beeing very helpful hosts!

We had an amazing time in Casa di Graziella. Jens an his wife were great hosts who arranged everything for us on our arrival even though we arrived very late at night. They took the time to show us the flat and give us a good advice on near restaurants, sights and cozy beaches. The flat was spotlessly clean, equipped with all you need and very nicely decorated. We had our own tarrace where we had BBQ almost every night and enjoyed the sun during breakfast. Most importantly it is a great location with a fantastic view over wine yards, olive trees and it is the nicest spot to relax and enjoy the nature. The casa is located within spitting distance of the small town Groznjan which is not only worth visiting to watch the sunset. The city Novigrad, which is also very close by, has nice beaches, bars and restaurants and a market where you can get fresh fish and vegetables. Starting from Casa di Graziella you can do a daytrip down the coast of Istria to Pula via Limfjord (Limski Zaljev) and Rovinij. Jens and Graziella are very polite and easy going, we had a lot of fun togehter watching the world cup. We highly recommend Jens and Graziella as a host and their flat for your stay in Istria. We would always come back!

We, Graziella (42) and Jens (44), are living and full-time working in Cologne. We like to travel to different places to collect new impressions and ideas. Besides that, we try to be at our holiday home in Istria as often as possible. I like to ride bicycle and Graziella is practicing Yoga as often as our time allows it.
