Without using transport you can easily cover a huge part of the old quarter as well as the Eixample with its Modernist treasures. This area is known for its excellent restaurants , Michelin Star , popular classics and trendy fusion, just steps from your door. Literally steps from the door begins the most beautiful pedestrian walking street in Barcelona, Enrique Granados with it's incredible variety of cafés, shops and restaurants. There's not a better area to experience the REAL Barcelona

Guests Have access to all of the public areas of the house including living room, dining room , kitchen

I am normally around to personally show guests the flat and to answer any questions about Barcelona., depending on the the needs and desires of the guests. I sometimes leave town once guests are settled in.

What I love most about this area of Barcelona is that while being in the center of the center it maintains it's authentic Barcelona character with excellent bars and restaurants and the beautiful pedestrian walk with cafés on Enrique Granados just one block away. It remains a refuge from the noisy touristic areas while being close to everything..

On foot you can reach Passeig de Gracia, the Ramblas, Plaza de Catalunya in 10 minutes or less. Many bus and metro lines are right at your door. Most guest end up moving around on foot or by bicycles, which can be rented nearby.

This area has a great variety of bars and restaurants, from classic to Gay. It is a centric, safe and diverse neighborhood. wifi conection optimist password (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Bruce's place!! He is the best host ever and makes sure you have a great time while staying at the apartment! His place is super cute and has a great bohemian feel. It is located in a very nice and safe neighborhood, close to all the major sights. There are also great bars and tapas places nearby. Bruce provides a yummy breakfast and has many great recommendations for things to do. Staying here made our stay in Barcelona extra special, and when we return we will be sure to book Bruce's place again. You will love staying here! :)

Staying with Bruce was a lovely, safe and welcoming experience in a great location in Barcelona - by a metro that allowed access to the whole city whilst being a walk away from Plaça Catalunya and La Ramblas, wth shops and other necessities nearby. Bruce's apartment had a lot of character and made us feel at home. We had a nice private space and sharing the rest of Bruce's apartment was a pleasure. Bruce is a great host, full of life and super helpful - we were provided with towels, a very comfortable bed, everything we needed and more - and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The terrace on the roof is also a nice added bonus to go up to with some views over the local area. Thanks again Bruce! Some tips for future guests that we would have found helpful :-) -Get a T10 metro card rather than a weekend card. -Try Tapas 24 late at night! Short walk away and one of the highlights of our trip. -Get a shuttle bus from the airport as its €5ish pp. Taxi was €31. -Park Güell and Sagrada Familia are a must, as well as Park Ciutadella (We visited on a Sunday and it was great ) -Don't be offended by the grumpy waiters and waitresses (some can be nice though!) - Don't miss out on visiting La Boquieira for something to eat - we didn't get a chance but lots have recommended it Thanks again! See you soon!

Bruce was a fantastic host, with a beautiful, traditional and cosy apartment located perfectly in a central, lively area. We were able to walk to nearly everywhere we wanted to go (except Park Guell, which was quite far to walk anyway!) He gave us some fantastic recommendations, some of which were so good we went to twice in our relatively brief stay! He also made an effort to prepare us such an amazing breakfast each morning. Overall our trip was elevated by our stay in this apartment, and we definitely will return in the future!

Bruce was very welcoming (and made an effort to be there early for us). Lovely, quirky apartment, well located for getting around, and a great breakfast (with very flexible timing!)

We had a wonderful stay at Bruce's apartment in Barcelona. The location is great - close to some of the Gaudi designed apartments and a short walk to the Gothic Quarter and El Raval. The room is quite spacious with very comfortable beds and a lovely view. But the best part of the apartment was definitely the host Bruce, who was extremely welcoming, and shared wonderful stories about his life in Barcelona.

Bruce is a superb host! Really appreciated the fresh coffee on arrival! Beautiful big room with loads of light, very comfortable bed and most importantly, less than 5 mins from the metro. I let Bruce know when I was arriving and he met me at the flat, showed me how everything worked and then left me to get on with exploring BCN. thanks for your hospitality!!

Lovely well furnished apartment in central Barcelona . Apartment couldn't be better placed easy access to metro , endless cafes and bars in neighbourhood and all major sites easily accessible by short metro ride or by foot. Bruce very knowledgeable and accommodating and we throughly enjoyed his company. Only negative thing was the fact that there is only one bathroom in the entire apartment. Overall great accommodation :)
