This house is a family style rental. 2-4 adults and 1-6 kids fit comfortably for sleeping arrangements. Please no large groups or parties. 10 people MAX.
If you use the park grill please clean up coals the following day and dispose in dumpster at the road. Please don’t dump in the yard.
Vehicles need to be parked in paved driveway, not on the grass or neighbors yards. Please and thank you! Again, vehicles must fit in the paved driveway 2-4 vehicles max based on size.
Mattresses on bottom bunks have been upgraded. But again this is a kids bunk room so the beds are made/meant for kids to sleep not adults.
I am also going to address the reviews under 5 stars here, as all we strive for is a 5 star stay. If you have an issue contact the host and it will be handled. Thanks.

Guests claimed the house was smelly, dirty, dusty and bugs everywhere. My first problem with this review is this guest never contacted me to say any of these things or the issues would have been handled. Second, I stayed at this property 48 hours before arrival of guest and I personally (nor my wife/kids) would not stay in a dirty, dusty, smelly and bugs all over the property. Third, property was cleaned by what I consider one of the best cleaning teams on the beach (and we have been through a few) before arrival. Fourth issue I have with this review is this property is sprayed for bugs twice a year on schedule and once a month during rental season, a lot more than a normal property probably gets treated for bugs. One more to piggy back off issue one if you paid good money to stay at a property and you show up and its smelly, dirty, dusty and bugs everywhere are you not going to contact the person you rented it from and ask for some assistance? Take some photos of said bugs and dirty property for proof? None of that happened! Airbnb will not help me with this review because it doesn't go against their policies.

We do not and have not had inside cameras! We used to have a screen inside the house so guests could view outside cameras. We did remove this screen since Rod claimed it was an inside camera system. Sorry for any guardians who could have used this feature to view kids or outside activities etc. Second, there were issues with the ceiling fan/remotes during the stay (I believe prior guest or cleaners may have mixed remotes up per rooms). All ceiling fans in this house have been replaced with a much more user friendly, no remote fan/light system. Sorry for any confusion there may have been on old fans, remotes or batteries, they have been replaced! Internet concerns, OBX is an island and there is limited internet options. We've since upgraded and we believe we have the best option on the beach at the moment. Also, during this stay the crosswalk light was being serviced to cross the road to the beach-I have no control over this. Crosswalk was fixed within the week.

Jennifer stated outside furniture was dirty. Guests before her did spill what looked like to be spaghetti /pizza sauce on cushions. We have replaced the cushions. She also seemed upset it wasn't oceanfront or ocean side and would have to walk or drive to the beach. I provide a GPS map of the property which clearly shows property location and walking/driving distance to the beach. Ants in the kitchen complaint: Cleaners found a lot of sugar left on the kitchen floor, cabinets, counters and corners of the room. We do not stock the kitchen with sugar much less lose sugar all over the kitchen. Sugar has been cleaned up.
