Situated just 2 minutes off the Cotswold Way nestled in the heart of sleepy Painswick, the queen of the Cotswolds . With bags of character and charm, Grade 2 listed featuring window seats, a spiral staircase, timber beams and wood burner.
Great base to explore The Unique Cotswolds.
Discovering the beauty of the Slad Valley and walking amongst the famous 99 Yew Trees & Tombstones of St Mary’s Church opposite. Within Walking distance of Rococo Garden and the Painswick Beacon views for miles.

The space
Our beautiful little cottage is packed with period charm like beams and window seats. These are lovely for relaxing with a good book.
Cosy up with the wood burner when the days get shorter.
Beautiful village views from both bedrooms. The beam in the top bedroom are quite low, so you may need to duck.
A spiral staircase goes from bottom to top throughout the cottage.
The first and second floor both have a bedroom and bathroom. The top floor has a bath and the first floor has a shower.
There is storage space under the beds, great to get luggage out of the way.
Luxury bed linen and fluffy towels as well as cleaning products, tissue boxes and fresh flowers from my garden in the summer.
Parking available nearby is on the street or large free car park within 4 mins walk. Luggage can be dropped off right outside the gate.
Dogs are welcome for bookings of 6 nights or more.

Where you’ll be

Painswick, England, United Kingdom

Painswick is a quintessential Cotswold village, famous for the church gardens with 99 Yew trees that Honeysuckle house over looks. Boasting a superb hotel, two fantastic pubs, two fab restaurants and a coffee shop, there’s plenty to do in the village or you can visit nearby Stroud, Cheltenham, or Cirencester.

Famous for its snowdrops in February, Just up the hill approx 15 minutes walk are the renowned Rococo gardens open seven days a week from 10.30.It closes in mid winter, usually Dec/Jan.
There’s plenty of beech woods and beautiful walks from your door. If you fancy going for a longer walk there’s The Butchers Arms in Sheepscombe and The Woolpack in Slad that both provide a way to work up an appetite, booking is recommended.
There are long range gorgeous views to be seen from the Painswick beacon nearby on a clear day. Approx 45 mins uphill from your door.
Gloucester Cathedral is well worth going to see, used in the Harry Potter films.
Gloucester Quays is an outlet centre approx 7 miles away, with plenty of well known brands at huge discounts.
Painswick is the perfect base for walkers, minutes from the Cotswolds way and close to both the Wysis way and Laurie Lee way to name a few.
