Come stay and play at "the Alpine A", a unique A-frame cabin on five acres! Located in a private, peaceful, forested mountain setting. Still, we're not far from the action- the cabin is located about a mile from the historic town of Saluda and Pearson's falls. Our a-frame has plenty of charm and many recent updates. If you love the great outdoors you’ll love the alpine A!

The space
We love to share our unique triangle shaped a-frame cabin with guests! The cabin is like an original "tiny house," on a private mountainside.
Upstairs loft has a queen bed, twin bed, and half bath. Downstairs bedroom has queen bed, a fold-out twin that is great for kids, and full bath. The living room has a sofa (not sleeper), recliner, TV, fireplace, and small dining table for ~3. The kitchen is well stocked. There is a 6-person dining table on the deck. The side yard has a grille and firepit area. We stock the wood pile quarterly.
The cabin is in a forested setting. You can hear the waterfall from the porch and there are some nice winter views. In the summer the property is well shaded.

Guest access
You have access to the entire a-frame cabin and the 5 acre property. There is a side yard with a firepit, grille, and hammock. There is even a little hiking trail on the property to explore.

Other things to note
- We are pet friendly. Up to two dogs, no puppies allowed. Send pet info (breed, age, demeanor) when you book.
- There is a $10/pet/night fee. Airbnb does not have a pet fee option. No matter how many humans are staying we ask that you set the guest total to "5" for 1 dog and "6" for 2 dogs. For example, if you are a family of 3 with 1 dog, set your total guests to 5. If you are a couple traveling with 2 dogs, set your total guests to 6. Thanks!
- AWD or 4WD recommended! The driveway and private road is steep and gravel.
- Wifi is reliable, but not fast. We are only able to offer a max DSL speed of 6 MB/sec. It will stream movies but we do not suggest it for business critical purposes.
- This is a mountainous area and there is wildlife, including bears and other critters, that live in the area.

I got the 'travel bug' from my mom and I plan to pass it on to my daughter! I love exploring new places and I especially love immersing myself into local culture- what better way to do that than to stay at airbnbs! My family has stayed at airbnbs in the US and all over the world - Colombia, Thailand, Cuba, Mexico, Japan, Spain, Vancouver and Paris. Some of my bucketlist places include Vietnam and the society islands. My husband Andy, daughter Ellie, and I lived in Colorado for over a decade and now call Charleston, SC home. Our next big adventure is starting to host our own airbnb guests in Saluda, NC! Come stay and play at the Alpine A.
