Pleasant and cozy, recently renovated guest suite in a private home just east of downtown. Perfect for single or a couple. Lovely summer gardens; in winter, an outdoor fireplace to enjoy in cozy Adirondack chairs! Hosts on site, friendly and helpful, but respectful of guests' privacy and schedule.
Breakfast room, garden areas, patio and BBQ, washer/dryer, secure bicycle and ski storage. We can loan our guests bicycles in summer and snowshoes in winter! Parking on street.
Interaction with guests
Arrival welcome with a glass of iced tea, wine, beer. Once settled and oriented, guests may come and go as they please.
We prepare healthy breakfasts for our guests, offering something different each day: homemade granola, fruit, Greek yogurt, quick breads, toast, bacon or sausage, breakfast casseroles (eggs,veggies,cheese), baguette French toast; always, freshly-squeezed orange juice and good strong coffee or tea!

We do not have TV, but can offer WiFi.
Hair dryer, soap and shampoo provided; also, beach towels for guests' use.
No visiting pets. We do have one cat, a calico named Bellina.
Dennis, retired Special Olympics executive, and Ann, foreign language teacher, are your hosts. Former Peace Corps volunteers/Brazil, and spent many more years living and working overseas - France, Brazil, Panama. We speak English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian. Ann is now teaching NIA (a fusion movement program of dance arts, martial arts and healing arts) in downtown CdA; Dennis is very busy on the Board of the Kootenai Environmental Alliance, working hard on behalf of the environment in our beautiful area. Other activities: we cycle, canoe, hike, run, garden, volunteer locally and enjoy living in this beautiful part of the country!
