Award-winning Hobbit Hideaway is a unique & beautiful space, designed to invoke inner peace & tranquillity. It was handcrafted with love to provide a real sense of warmth & nourishment, a welcome escape from the pressures of daily life. It has been described as being like a giant hug, a place that once you enter, you can't help but smile!

The space
If you've ever wanted to experience living in an exquisite natural home, this is your chance. Hobbit Hideaway is a bespoke architectural delight, purpose-built using locally sourced, plentiful, renewable, and recycled materials including straw-bales, round-wood, stone, earth, and clay. It is furnished with a high percentage of pre-loved, re-purpose, and recycled treasures. It is a truly unique and beautiful eco-home.

You have your own private garden, plus access to our shared space where you can pick your own fresh and seasonal food in the Garden of Eat'n, explore the Fairy Glen, spot the fairies, and take a chilly dip in the magical pools, then warm yourselves by the Fyre Pit with a glorious fairtrade hot chocolate or a wee nip of Speyside whisky! There are wildlife ponds, hidden dens, including a willow wigwam, and lots of space to run around and enjoy the freedom of the natural surroundings!

Our electricity is sourced from 100% renewable energy and the water is straight from the spring, as used in Speyside whisky production. Seriously delicious water!

You will find special touches throughout, added with love, for your comfort and pleasure. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and accessible and should you have any special needs or requirements we will do our best to make any reasonable adjustment to accommodate them.

For your entertainment, we have provided free unlimited wifi, a Bluetooth speaker, and a large selection of books, games, jigsaw puzzles and wooden toys, including a trainset and giant Jenga.

Outside you can dine alfresco using the BBQ, picnic tables, firepit, and various tables and chairs around the Hideaway.

If you want a technology-free break, simply switch the unlimited and free wifi off or ask us to remove it, to remove temptation!

Hobbit Hideaway is ideal for four people but it's deceptively spacious, so we provided two additional sleeping spaces for large families or small groups. We also keep our prices the same all year round as we think it's unfair to penalise families with high prices during school holidays. We welcome dogs and don't charge extra as they make less mess than kids!

We provide a welcome treat, fire-wood, cruelty-free soaps & cleaning products, cooking basics and a variety of fairtrade beverages. For dogs we provide a welcome treat, 2 bowls and a towel.

We have always cleaned to a very high standard and are totally committed to complying with all Covid-19 cleaning regimes and the use of appropriate chemicals to ensure our guest's safety. We do our very best to keep our place spotless, germ-free and a safe space to relax and enjoy time-out from the pressures of daily life.
