Award-winning Hobbit Hideaway is a unique & beautiful home, designed to invoke inner peace & tranquillity. It was handcrafted with love to provide a real sense of warmth & nourishment, a welcome escape from the pressures of daily life. It has been described as being like "a giant hug", a place that once you enter, you can't help but smile!

The space
You will find special touches throughout, added with love, for your comfort and pleasure. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and accessible and should you have any special needs or requirements we will do our best to make any reasonable adjustment to accommodate them.

Set in 3 acres of lush greenery, at the foothills of Ben Rinnes, Moray's highest mountain, there are stunning views from every window. You have your own private garden with BBQ, picnic tables and outdoor games, and full access to the wider garden, which includes our Garden of Eat’n where you can pick your own fresh and seasonal fruit and veg for dinner.

Venture down to the bottom of the garden where you will discover an enchanting Fairy Glen with a meandering burn with mini waterfalls, hidden fairies and magical fairy pools for those brave enough to take a refreshing dip!

Spending time in nature is proven to be good for you and it's easy to do when you are immersed in so much natural beauty and surrounded by wildlife. Enjoy the total lack of noise and light pollution under our vast dark skies, toast marshmallows by the Fyre Pit with a cup of fairtrade hot chocolate or a wee dram of Speyside whisky!

Discover wildlife ponds, a mud kitchen, the tyre swing over the burn, and our willow wigwam, or simply enjoy the freedom to run, play and explore the beauty of the natural surroundings.

At Hobbit Hideaway you can feel confident that you are taking a Green Tourism Gold standard holiday and are doing your bit to support sustainable tourism.

For inside entertainment, we have provided free unlimited wifi, a Bluetooth speaker, and a large selection of books, games, jigsaw puzzles and wooden toys, including a train-set and giant Jenga.

If you want a technology-free break, simply switch the wifi off or ask us to remove it.

Hobbit Hideaway is ideal for four people but its deceptively spacious, so we provided futons which convert into two additional sleeping spaces for larger families or small groups. We also keep our prices the same all year round as we think it's unfair to penalise families with high prices during school holidays. We welcome dogs and don't charge extra as they make less mess than kids!

We provide a welcome treat, firewood, cruelty-free soaps & cleaning products, cooking basics and a variety of fairtrade beverages. For dogs, we provide a welcome treat, 2 bowls, and a towel.

We have always cleaned to a very high standard and are totally committed to complying with all Covid-19 cleaning regimes and the use of appropriate chemicals to ensure our guest's safety. We do our very best to keep our place spotless, germ-free, and a safe space to relax and enjoy time-out from the pressures of daily life.
