Maslinica is a nice little port on NW side of Solta Island. It is connected by the main state road D111, about 15 minutes drive from Rogac. It has beautiful landscape made by picturesque cove and pine forest on the south side and the close surroundings with deep, well-protected cove Šešula and archipelago of seven small islands: Balkun, Rudula, Grmej, Stipanska, Saskinja, Polebrnjak and rock Kamičić.
Village Maslinica was made in 1703. when an aristocratic family Marchi asked (Venetian) permission to found a new settlement and to build a castle with towers for defense of frequent pirate attacks (today the castle is turned into a very famous restaurant “Conte Alberti”).
As a tourist destination, Maslinica is attractive to nature lovers with it’s natural beaches, clear sea and intact nature.

In the center of village, there are few restaurants which offer fresh food and fish specialty. There are also few pubs and cocktail bars in the center and marina and also beach bar.
