About this listing

Newly renovated (over the winter of 2017). Cozy, three bedrooms, one with separate entrance/access from the outside, large wrap around deck, cable
and wifi.

Please note that there is NO CLEANING FEE associated with this rental.

Also, please note that until 2015 the owner lived in the home and only rented out the lower separate entrance bedroom so reviews of the property are for that space. The home was newly renovated and being rented in its entirety starting during the summer of 2017.

The space

Two bedrooms (with queen and full sized beds) on top level with shared, brand new bathroom with tub/shower combo. Middle level is the main entrance and has kitchen, dining and living areas with flat screen TV and Comcast cable service and brand new half bath along with a wrap around deck . Lower level with separate entrance (yet connected to the upstairs) has a small patio/deck, platform king sized bed, brand new bath with shower along with a flat screen television (on a turntable stand) with Comcast cable service and a DVD/VCR combination (with remote controls for all, of course). Parking for up to two cars is provided. Absolutely NO SMOKING on the property (and, of course, no drugs). As the owner I'm hardly subjective but all of my friends and family members find the accommodation to be comfortable, cozy and very charming.

Interaction with guests

I will not be present during the stay but can be reach in the event of any questions or emergency.

Other things to note

There is not central air in the unit. The downstairs bedroom has a wall unit air conditioner (with remote) but the cross ventilation in all of the other rooms generally keeps the unit comfortable, even in the warmest weather.

This is relatively quiet neighborhood and homeowner's association and a good place to relax and enjoy friends and family and entertain but not to "party" and/or make excessive noise.

Absolutely no smoking or drug use. A private entrance allows you and your guests to come and go as they please. While I'm a dog lover I can't allow pets in the home due to allergies - however a very high end "pet hotel" is a three minute walk from the property and an award winning dog park is a two minute walk.

Jeff was a wonderful host, and what a great first airbnb experience for me! He let me use his old bicycle, which came in VERY handy, gave me a lot of good exercise, and helped me to get around town to visit my friends quickly and easily. The room is located close enough to the center of town to be convenient, yet far enough away from the craziness of Commercial Street during Carnival Week to allow me to have some peace and solitude. It was also nice and close to the Provincetown Pet Resort, where I'd boarded my cat, so visits were easy and frequent. Jeff was not the least bit intrusive, but made it clear to me that I could contact him at any time with any request or questions. He even allowed my nieces to park their car in his other space when they came up from Brewster to visit me for the day. I would (and will) definitely stay there again, if timing and availability work out for my next visit to Provincetown!

It really doesn't get much better than when we arrived in Ptown to a very warm welcome from Jeff with a fruit basket to add to what was a fabulous space. He is a great host with nice tidbits of local happenings and historical info as well. Jeff had had outs on Ptown available, showed us the space along with explaining how the AC worked, the BBQ and the opened the refrig and said there's plenty of bottled water just help yourself. It was a welcome totally first class and it continued for the week we were there.

My second time to stay at Jeff's place I brought a friend. Who loved everything about the accommodations. Including the location. Being very close to the west end of town. Yet far enough away to be very quiet. Jeff was very attentive to any concerns we had. When a light switch didn't operate Jeff was there within minutes of alerting him and had the problem solved on the spot. I recommend Jeff's place to stay at for anyone looking to stay in Provincetown.

Jeff was an excellent host. He picked me up and dropped me off from the PTown airport. He gave me some brochures and suggest some places to check out. The place is short walking distance from Commercial Street yet it's nice and quiet. Next time I come visit, I'm totally getting this place again!

Jeff is an excellent host. He was very prompt in my request to stay at his place. Also prior to my arrival he asked if there were any last minute requests for the room I was staying. The room itself was accurately described in the listing and made for a comfortable stay. Jeff also contacted me once during my stay by text message to check if I needed anything. Which was very nice. The place is located a few blocks from the main area of town and easy walking distance to most attractions. To sum up my experience I would stay again.

Jeff made my first airbnb experience an excellent one. The accomodations are great and in a great location. He picked me up at the pier and even gave me a ride to Orleans to p/u a rental car. He knows ptown well and had plenty of local knowledge to impart. He was a great host and is a great guy! Thanks, Jeff!

Jeff picked me up at the dock and immediately made me feel welcome, informing me about the town and the all the conveniences close to his home. He could not have been a kinder or more welcoming host and was extremely responsive and eager to please me. Unfortunately, I found the room damp and musty and the sheets too clammy for me to sleep in. I was unable to sleep and decided that I did not want to spend another night in the room. The room is on the ground floor, which may explain the dampness and mustiness.

Response from Jeff:
I'm truly sorry that you had that issue but, as I told you, no one else who has stayed in that room has EVER had any concern about dampness or "clamminess." The sheets were brand new 600 thread count Egyptian cotton so I don't know how they could have been "clammy." The ironic thing is that there IS a dehumidifier in the laundry room and if that suggestion simply had been made to me, rather than insulting and condescending accusations, the unfortunate early departure might have been avoided. I do thank you, however, for your kind and appreciative comments regarding my efforts to ensure your comfort.
