Next to our house from 1914 on the edge of Gasselte is the fully equipped guest house that is entirely at your disposal. You can enjoy the Drenthe tranquility in various natural areas, but you are also close to the tourist villages of Borger and Gieten, with restaurants and shops, and activities such as golf and swimming.

The space
Our lovely place is quietly located at the end of a dead end street, on the former railway line Assen-Stadskanaal. The railway line was founded in 1904 and served as passenger transport until 1948. Until 1970, goods were still transported, but eventually the station and the railway line were demolished. The landscape still clearly shows where the track has run. This is a hiking trail now. Our house was part of the station and at the time served as a foreman's house. The name of the guesthouse, Perron 1, refers to the past of this beautiful place.

Perron 1 is located directly on various cycling and walking routes and there are still many opportunities in the nature reserves and forests around the corner, such as Hamerlanden, Drouwenerzand and National Park Drentsche Aa. You can swim in the Gasselterveld and the Nije Hemelriek.

The cities of Groningen, Assen and Emmen can be reached within 30 minutes (by car and public transport), places such as Stadskanaal, Zuidlaren and Veendam are 15 minutes away.

There are many hiking and cycling routes nearby that run through the beautiful forests and heathlands. Just 3 km away are the swimming pools' t Nije Hemelriek and Gasselterveld with the largest open water park in the Netherlands "Adventure Park".
Fancy a little shopping, theatre or a concert?? Then Assen, Emmen and Groningen can be reached within half an hour.

We gaan erg graag naar de waddeneilanden, onze favoriet is Schiermonnikoog! Geregeld gaan we wadlopen en bezoeken vaak concerten, meestal in café de Amer in Amen waar we als vrijwilliger actief zijn.
