The accomodation was clean and warm which was a blessing as it was sunny during the day but chilly at night - would book again

My sister and I hired the Beach House for the Easter break and loved it. There was plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 kids and you could easily fit a few more kids in as the kids' room is huge! The beds are really comfortable and there is plenty of spare linen with a great washing machine (in case of accidents with little ones!). The dining table is huge - big enough to seat 10, in case you have friends over for dinner. We loved the record player and the two vintage swivel chairs in the lounge - so comfortable! The house is bright, colourful and relaxing - an ideal place for a holiday. Port Elliot is a delightful town - we loved the retro cafe just a few minutes from the Beach House and the beach, just a few minutes' walk away, was equally beautiful on sunny days and wild days. Highly recommended.

We've stayed here twice and love it - lovely house in an ideal location, simple and stylish, a bit quirky, comfortable and clean and just the right size for our family of four. There is a great range of board games, jigsaws, books, vinyl, and outdoor games, which have really added something special to our stays and also means you don't have to bring a whole bunch of activities and gear with you. The garden is fabulous too - private with plenty of space to play and a choice of spots to sit and relax - unfortunately we haven't managed to sit around the fire pit or light the lanterns due to the weather but would love to come back for that. A bit of a gem.

Perfect house for a family escape - all the games, bikes and boards in the shed plus the surprise of many extra pantry items all in situ. House in a peaceful but surprisingly peaceful location, close to the beach, tennis courts and cycle ways. Also enjoyed the plethora of bird life in the spacious garden. We will be back !

Sam's place is in a fabulous location and she has covered every base with local information. There is an abundance of great games, jigsaws and music in the home to occupy all ages. A great home for a beach family holiday.

This was the second time we had stayed at Sam's place and we were glad to be back there again. It has a really lovely style and every thing we needed with comfortable warm beds and a kitchen with all the basics for cooking. The local butcher is worth visiting, we bought fresh Coorong mullet for dinner one night, and they make their own delicious smoked salmon, ham and other meats. We also walked to a few of the local places to eat. We made good use of the board games available for guests, used the tennis courts and particularly love being so close to the bike path that goes along the whole Encounter Bay coast, doing some long rides with our kids (in their early teens.) Every day we took the short walk to the point to check for whales and were lucky to be there one afternoon when a humpback whale was breaching and playing for quite a while. I had an afternoon to myself checking out the shops and just love South Sea Trading's beautiful gift and Art book shop which is new since our last visit and across the road from their jam packed bookshop.
