Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
"Hidden Oasis", with magnificent view of the lake Wakatipu. Unique house in a quiet town, 100m away from beautiful beach.

Perfect spot for fans of all kind of sports and adventurers going to Milford Sound / Bluff / Wanaka. You can come alone or enjoy your time with friends as a group of max. 4 people.

The place to be for people fond of nature and aware of environmental issues, we are doing our best to use eco-friendly detergents and make our house as green as possible.

The space
This is a characterful house nestled amongst beautiful gardens. Located on the sunny side of the town which means that in winter you will get the most sun that our area offers, and in summer the least sandflies :)

During the winter house is nice and warm as it has been insulated this year, new double glazed windows were installed. Each room has modern heaters, and bathroom is warmed up by underfloor heating. Enjoy your evening with a glass of wine in front of the open fireplace.
In the summer you can cool down in the common area, where we have the air con unit.

Private off-road parking. Large garage space for cycling/ski/snowboard gear.

Where you’ll be

Kingston, Otago, New Zealand

Our town has a long, beautiful beach with open access bbq facilities nearby. You can spend all day there, making yourself a food and admiring the view.

We have a unique place called "Kingston Flyer " where you can have a craft beer and some food. In the time when there was no road to Queenstown and the only way to get out of here was steam train and steam boat it used to be an old train station. Pub owners collected old pictures and artefacts therefore you can have a look around and move back in time.

Winter sports fans will appreciate close distance to multiple ski fields. 500m away from our house starts Great Mountains Trail. Kingston is on the way from Queenstown/Christchurch to Te Anau and Milford and Doubtful Sounds.

I am in love with gardening and NZ native plants, especially those that are endemic to Wakatipu Basin. Every Wednesday I volunteer at organisation for regeneration of New Zealand nature. Previously I had few other passions which included radio journalism, charity work and interest in social issues. I am great fan of AirBnB community.

During your stay

House is owned by Hanna, Steve and Patterdale Terrier Ellie. All three of us live in the house (except for the time when we travel). Steve works in Queenstown during the day and Hanna usually stays at home and work on her website. We have been living here less than 6 months, so we're not locals, but we know a lot about Kingston and our region. You are very welcome to go with us to the local pub for a beer or for a walk along the beach with Ellie. We would like to socialise with you because we enjoy talking to new people. If you need more privacy we will respect it. Ellie is very friendly and she will be very interested in new people staying at her house, and so she will try to give you as many kisses and tail wagging as possible.
