The space

Relax in the african bush. Located within the Raptors View wildlife estate, come enjoy your own ensuite bedroom in our thatch roofed home. Please note that the price is per room and not for the entire house as a few people have made the mistake of thinking they would be able to get all 5 bedrooms for only $50 per night. Enjoy the pool, massive deck with fire pit, hiking trails, bird and animal hides as well as the plentiful natural plains animals that roam freely on the estate. You will be within less than an hours drive from two different gates to the Kruger National park (Orpen & Paloborwa), the Blyde river canyon and numerous private wildlife parks and scenic drives. Come be astounded by the birdlife and the star lit nights. There is no better value if you are visiting the valley of the Olifants.
Each room has either two twin beds or one full size bed. Each room has it's own private door to the exterior of the house and each bedroom has its own bath or shower and toilet.
There is one t.v in the main living area of the house on which you may view DVD's. Our satalite service is currently not working but we hope to have this corrected soon.
We are within a few minutes drive from several very good resaurants in Hoedspruit town and meals can be arranged at the house if done in advance. The town of Hoedspruit is located in a popular tourist area and there are an abundance of shops in the town as well as two supermarkets for groceries and supplies. From Raptors view you may take day trips that include the Kruger park, the Panorama route, the nearby towns of Hazyview, Graskop and Phalaborwa. You can visit the Blyde river canyon, Bourk's Luck Potholes, the three rondovels as well as the historical town of Pilgrims rest. You will be within an hours drive of several golf courses and opportunities for several adventure activies.
As in most of South Africa, there is very little reliable public transport, an automobile is highly recommended.

House Rules

No Smoking, no more than 2 guests per room. Please be respectful of the speed limits within the estate. Please do not try to pet or feed the wildlife, just enjoy the viewing. Guests may use the brai and firepit on the deck if desired.
