The space

A huge two-bedroom apartment, beautifully decorated, right on the Newcastle quayside yards from the river, and only two minutes walk to the Tyne Bridge and the excitement of the quayside. Newcastle city centre is a few minutes further.

The heart of this friendly, social apartment is a lovely lounge/dining/kitchen space that comfortably accommodates large groups of people. With a big oak dining table seating six, a breakfast bar and a large lounge that overlooks the river it is ideal for mature groups or families and friends wanting to stay together.

The apartment has two bedrooms - the spacious main bedroom has a super king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and dressing room; the wonderfully light second bedroom has twin beds and a Juliet balcony overlooking the river 50m away. With a range of sofa and temporary beds, however, the apartment can easily accommodate larger groups.

The lounge has a flatscreen TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, iPod docking station, free wireless broadband and three sofas that make for plenty of seating.

The massive kitchen is fully equipped for a holiday, city break or party weekend with a separate oven and hob, dishwasher, a fridge/freezer plus a second 'American-style', double-door fridge, microwave oven and a washer/dryer, plus a great breakfast bar that seats four.

A free, allocated, secure parking space is available close to the apartment.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire apartment. Essentially the apartment is yours to enjoy for the period of your stay.

Interaction with guests

At whatever time, I will meet you on arrival to show you round the apartment, answer any questions you may have and help you settle-in. For regular guests there is a key-safe so you can have the convenience of letting yourself into the apartment. During your stay I am at the end of a phone for any problems or questions you might have.

The neighbourhood

From its industrial past Newcastle-upon-Tyne has matured into a spectacular and elegant city with a world class cultural reputation, a fabulous and vibrant quayside, and a fondness for partying. Factor in some of the most beautiful and unspoilt scenery in the country only a short journey out of Newcastle, including Hadrian's Wall, a world heritage site, top class shopping, theatre and restaurants plus the world famous Tyne Bridge and you have a thriving modern city in touch with its past but looking to the future confidently.

Getting around

Newcastle is a compact city and a lot of it is accessible by walking, especially as the apartment is so centrally located. The quayside bus service will get you to most places in the city centre and passes by the apartment. For destinations further afield Newcastle Central Station is five minutes walk with mainline train connections (Durham is fifteen minutes travel; Edinburgh an hour) and a Metro station - Newcastle's urban train network. The Metro will get you to the coast and many Newcastle suburbs.

Fantastic apartment. Beautifully decorated and perfectly described! We had a slight issue with a leak which was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. We loved our stay in Newcastle and this apartment topped it off!

The apartment was in the really great central location from where you could walk to all the bars etc. The flat had everything you could need, was perfectly clean and generally really nice. They even put some milk in the fridge for us.

This is an ideal home for bigger family. The whole check in process was efficient. Very roomy apartment and very equipped with essentials. The available parking spot is too narrow for our 9-Seater van but the host directed us to a nearby public parking which is the same distance as the allocated parking space. Overall stay was great!

The Location is ok but most importantly the facilities in the house in superb and clean. The free vehicle parking place is only suitable for saloon cars but not for 9 seater MPV. Overall this is the best accommodation we have stayed during our trip to UK

This apartment was absolutely perfect for our stay. Located 10 minutes from the station / town, getting around was so easy. If we felt lazy, an uber tended to cost no more than £3 - very pleasing compared to what we pay in London! The apartment itself was enormous, with plenty of space for 6 people to fit comfortably. Everything was lovely and clean, and Joanne who met us on arrival could not have been more helpful. I would recommend this place without hesitation - thank you so much!
