Welcome to our new ‘Little Creek Yurt’, on a raised jarrah flooring connected to a sitting deck overlooking a rare creek line of large, old growth native tree ferns. A beautiful shady cool spot in the summer months. Listen to the creek (seasonal) tinkle in the background. Meditate amongst the stillness.

Truly feel at one with the simple bush setting, large granite rocks, and extensive shade trees overhead. Peace.

The space
This beautiful 4m Tasmanian Oak Yurt has a comfortable double futon bed, solar powered ambient lighting, the cutest little pot belly stove to keep the space warm and cozy, and clear roof flap window ideal for star gazing and moon watching. Access to the Yurt is by foot down a steep creek path, your car is left parked 50m away. Please note, the main shared amenities, toilets etc, are a 200m / 2 min walk up the hill by the ‘Big Sky Yurt’.

There you will find a shared outdoor camping style bathroom (bush shower), toilets, and a simple camp kitchen with a small fridge, gas stove, sink etc and teas and coffee. Breakfast and dinner can be provided on request, delivered to your yurt, often with home grown organic seasonal produce, vegetarian, vegan and other options or requests available or you are also welcome to do your own cooking of course.

Bring a torch and any other useful camping items you might want to make yourself comfortable, please also just let us know if there is anything we can supply or help you with.

Thanks for looking and maybe booking and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us. Also PLEASE NOTE ... once you have made a booking please read through the house manual for further details including a map with walking trails and points of interest nearby, and please address all communication here to ‘Phil and Sarah’ who do such a wonderful job of looking after all the yurts and guests on the property.

I hope you have a really great stay if you decide to come and maybe I will see you here, thanks and best wishes for now, Alan.

Other things to note
Please note; this yurt is set up as a simple but really nice zen type space, perfect for artists, couples, meditation and yoga enthusiasts etc. Facilities are basic but it is comfortable, it's really for people who love camping and are just looking for something a bit extra as a getaway and to unplug from everything for a day or few. There is no wifi set up here and phone reception is limited. If you are looking for all the mod cons of a hotel etc, this may not be suitable for you. If you just want to be in beautiful pristine nature in a comfortable clean yurt in a relaxed environment you will probably really like it.

Location

Jarrahdale, Western Australia, Australia

Nearby is the historic timber mill town of Jarrahdale where there is a general store/post office, cafe, tavern and a very cool 'tea' shop amongst other things.

As far as supermarkets go there is an IGA in Mundijong which is the closest and Coles etc in Byford or Armadale.
