This is one of the few places in the area with a pool.
The Rainbow Joglo is an Indonesian wooden house, floating in the jungle treetops of Ubud, Bali. This joglo has been designed and hand made with love. The setting, nestled amongst the trees, with views of local rice farms. Choosing to stay in this home, you will experience the true beauty of what makes Bali so unique.

The space
The Skai Joglo's have been built using locally sourced materials, traditional techniques and crafted by local artisans. All wood has been reclaimed from 100 year old homes, known as joglo's, and redesigned into a contemporary treehouse. With semi open walls, natural textures and finishes, the design of the home focuses on the beauty of the antique wood, the artisan's craftsmanship and the surrounding nature.

The Rainbow Joglo has a sister treehouse - It has the exact same facilities and style, just different room layout. Please see our profile for more information on this villa.

Guest access
There is a small road that leads directly to the villa, suitable for both cards and scooters. Scooter and car parking is also available to our guests.

Other things to note
The villa is not located in Ubud City Centre, we are located in the countryside, outer suburbs of the Ubud region. It is approximately a 10-15 minute drive into town. If you wish to travel into Ubud, we recommend hiring a driver to take you by car or you can hire a scooter during your stay, which we can help arrange for you. If you want to be closer to shops, cafes and restaurants and wish to be in walking distance to amenities such as these, this villa is not suitable for you and suggest booking a villa in the Ubud Centre.

This treehouse is elevated. It includes a rope bridge to the entrance door, steep rail-less stairs to the second story, open pool and a high drop from the pool's edge. Due to the quirky characteristics of this home, we recommend that this villa is not suitable for young children or persons not able-bodied.

Situated amongst the jungle, rice fields and farm lands, there will be without a doubt, insects, ants, mosquito's and lizards on the property. We try our best to keep the house clean and bug free as much as we can, however choosing to live so close to nature with a semi opened home, you will be exposed to the elements and sometimes it is difficult to completely avoid. Please be aware that at night the wildlife comes alive and for some people the sounds of nature are too loud. We do provide ear plugs for guests that need them, however if you are a light sleeper, this is something you need to consider when booking this villa.

The Skai Joglo's are located on a property with surrounding villa's. All of our villa's are private but because they are close proximity to other guests, we ask that house rules are respected at all times and no loud noises after 10pm.
