Located 7 miles from Stowe on a quiet back road; the beauty of our home lies in its connection to nature. Unwind, relax, explore, and have fun. A private suite with bath (primary space) and a separate bedroom (if needed) accommodate up to 5 people.

The space

Our home is equally suited for a couple's romantic get-away, friends gathering for a holiday together, or quality time spent with the family. Our location is very peaceful and private. We have a beautiful pond with ducks, a visiting Great Blue Heron, and plenty of frogs. Our grass labyrinth provides a place for contemplation while our horseshoe pit offers a spot for friendly competition! Explore our woods and organic vegetable garden, walk/bike the surrounding dirt roads, use our home as your base while you visit the many local attractions, or simply sit on our screen porch and listen to the birds and crickets. The second floor private suite includes a bathroom with a shower, provides plenty of space for your belongings, and comfortably sleeps 1 to 3 people. An additional bedroom with a queen size bed can accommodate up to 2 more people in your party and shares the bathroom with the suite. Children are most welcome. A selection of organic coffee and tea is provided.

Guest access

Guests have access to the kitchen, the dining and sitting areas, the screen porch, and the surrounding property. And while swimming is not allowed in the pond, we are less than 7 miles from Lake Elmore State Park.

Interaction with guests

The level of interaction varies based on the desires of the guests. My bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor allowing more privacy for everyone.

This was the second time I stayed with Deb. Her house is warm and welcoming and Deb makes sure her guests feel at home. The location is secluded and private, with quick access to Stowe or the main highway for day trips. Deb is a kind and gracious hostess who is more than helpful in whatever way we needed her to be.

Our stay with Deb and Lily was an extraordinary experience. Aside from the beautyful enviorment and the comfortable private suite, Deb made us feel at home. She invited us to use her kitchen and the common area by the fire and gave our doughter some toys to play. Deb's home is suitable for little children, her dog Lily is extremely friendly and there is a lot of area to play both indoor and outdoor. We had a wonderful time with Deb. Perfect place, interesting conversations and super friendly host!

Deborah was great. Her place is beautiful and the room with the bathroom really comfortable. Her dog, lily, is very friendly and cheerful. She was great giving us directions to go to the different hiking places and restaurants. We really felt like at home. We can't wait to come back.

Vermont is a great place to visit and Deborah's house is the perfect place to stay. She is a wonderful host, providing a relaxed, comfortable home in a beautiful setting -- an ideal base for exploring the Mt. Elmore/Mansfield region. Deborah gave us suggestions for hiking, dining and touring the area and she shared our enthusiasm for looking at the Milky Way from her yard one starlit evening, bringing us a blanket to use as we gazed at the sky. We're eager to plan another, longer trip.

Our family had a wonderful experience. We traveled with our toddler son and Deborah made us feel very welcome. The location is beautiful and relaxing. As city folks, we enjoyed exploring the nearby nature with the hotel-like amenities/comfort. Our room (suite)was large with a king size bed for us and a twin bed for our son. There was a private bathroom en suite. We loved the woodwork. Our view included a pond, woods, and lots of green grass. We enjoyed coffee and tea in the morning and Deborah made us feel welcome in her kitchen. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful air b and b in beautiful Vermont!

Deborah was an excellent hostess & made us feel right at home. Her home was clean & the rooms were spacious. She was there with helpful information & great conversation. Absolutely no disappointment from how it looked from booking to when we actually arrived. We are looking forward to our next stay; Deb made us feel like we would always be welcomed.

The listing description was accurate. Deb was a wonderful host. There were books, brochures, and travel guides to the area in our room. That was extremely helpful! We were welcome to use the kitchen, dining area, and screened in porch (which we loved). Our room was very spacious and had a private bathroom. Everything was very clean. I loved all the wood that was used throughout the house. Deb was always available to answer all our questions, even when she wasn't around in person. We had a lot of freedom to come and go. Deb went out of her way to make us feel right at home. The location of the house was very convenient for visiting Stowe and Waterbury. We loved that at the end of the day we could drive back to this little haven in the mountains and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

Deborah User ProfileDeborah is a superhost.

Our dog, Lilly, and I welcome you to our home. I am an avid cross country skier and have been an instructor since 2001. I am a writer and a Reiki practitioner. A fun day for me is spent in the woods skiing, hiking or camping; on my bike exploring back roads; on the water paddling; walking on a sandy beach; or just relaxing and writing. I left the corporate world to be a stay-at-home mom and never looked back. One of my greatest travel experiences was a 21 day backpacking trip through England with my daughters on the Coast to Coast and Herriot Way trails. I enjoy meeting people and providing a very casual, relaxed setting in which everyone is comfortable putting their feet up and being themselves.
