Mistatos House was a great place to stay in lovely Pefki. It was cool and airy, and had everything we needed. Our hosts and family were welcoming and helpful, and provided us with lots of goodies for breakfast, and a bottle of wine too! Only a few minutes from the town meant we could get away from the crowd, but also enjoy the beach and all the shops.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mistatos House. Pefky is a beautiful quiet village tucked away in the mountains but with easy access to the coast down a good road. Kostas was helpful and always on call if we needed him - which we didn't because it was all set up ready and waiting! The house is lovely and the village friendly. We very much hope to go again before too long!

This was the second time we stayed at the Mistatos House. Like they say, "When you find the perfect spot, why go anywhere else?" Ideally situated in the picturesque town of Pefki, Mistatos House has the perfect setting (two comfortable balconies with gorgeous views to the Sea), and is the perfect size for us, with two good-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Zeta and her parents are superb hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. Then there's the Peperia Taverna, a short walk from the House, where every Sunday features live traditional Greek Music and dancing. An absolutely wonderful time in a perfect place!

We were warmly welcome by Zeta's Mother on our arrival. Christina is extremelly helpfull and friendly: a perfect host! Always there if we had questions or needs. The house was extremely clean and everything was provided. We liked the house and the different terraces with a view on the Libyan Sea were amazing. We had a great time and would love to come back soon. Last but not least, the taverna Piperia in the village was a wonderful place - we spent great evenings there, amazing food and very friendly people. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic and peaceful place!

We have been the guests of Zeta in one of the Mistatos houses of Pefki. The house was exactly what we were looking for: cosy, clean, in a very quiet village. We were warmly welcomed by Zeta's mother who was kind enough to offer us bienvenue gifts (wine, fruits, bread, raki, etc). Pefki is a wonderful village, which was our base point to explore the east part of Crete. We have enjoyed every minute of our stay there and recommend it with no restriction!

This amazing house totally worth the 2 hours drive from the airport of Heraklion!!! Authentic, beautiful, clean house with all the amenities you need for a great vacation. The village of Pefki, where the house resides is a unique old fashion place with nature all around and wonderful hospitable people. 10 minute drive to the village of Makri Gialis where the tavernas offer local fresh food. This house and location made our trip unique, divers, and peaceful. Zeta, our host, and her parents, were lovely, open to help, and warm people. Thank you!

This is a lovely little house in the village of Pefki in the hills behind Makrygialos. I would recommend staying here rather than Makrigialos because the village itself is very authentic and untouched by tourism. There is one nice taverna and a kafeneion. The church is still the centre of village life and the priest sings on Friday night and then again on Sunday for the call to church. All the village goes in their Sunday best. Then everyone troups down the hill to the village square where tables are set up and they all have morning tea together. Snapdragons grow wild in the cracks of the pavement and bees buzz lazily around. The house is very pretty and clean. The kitchen and showers are small but the bedrooms are comfortable and the verandah has a lovely view. It is a very good choice for families and couples alike.
