Alpaca Lodge is an annex of the owner's home Fifield Lodge, in the quintessentially English hamlet of Borden, close to the market town of Sittingbourne in Kent.

The sitting room and bedroom is on the first floor and furnished in a contemporary style, whilst the shower and toilet are located on the ground floor.

The space
Step into the property and find yourself in the bright and airy sitting room with a delightful view of the gardens where you can watch our adorable alpacas quietly grazing.

A comfortable sofa and twin daybeds provide ample seating, along with a dining table and chairs for up to 6 people and TVs in both sitting room and bedroom. The kitchen is fully appointed with electric cooker and hob, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave and kitchen units filled with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Also provided is freshly ground coffee, tea, sugar, milk, kitchen towels, salt & pepper, spices, cooking oils, washing up liquid and full range of cleaning materials and a coolbox for days out.

A separate door leads to the bedroom with two double beds, chest of drawers and TV.

Stairs lead down to the toilet and shower room, with patio doors leading out to the patio area with a table and chairs providing ample space for you to enjoy alfresco meals on warm summer evenings. An outdoor heated pool is available, summer only (May - Sep).

COMMUNAL AREAS

POOL
The covered, heated swimming pool is open 1st May to 30th September. With built-in steps at the shallow end and a diving board at the deep end, the pool is perfect for all ages and swimming abilities.

BARN
The vintage themed open-sided barn is ideal for daytime leisure activities with a selection of toys and games for all ages. There's plenty of space to relax and to dine, with heaters to keep you cosy on chillier evenings. Fully equipped with vintage crockery, cutlery and glasses, as well as a tea and coffee station, you can enjoy the outdoors at any time of the year.

BBQs & FIREPITS
A cosy and enchanting wooded garden has several BBQs and firepits where you can cook and toast marshmallows in the evening.

Accommodation over two floors. One bedroom with two double beds, plus twin beds in the sitting room. Sleeps up to 6.
Shower room with WC and basin. Kitchen/diner for self-catering.

Sittingbourne is a modern market town situated in the Swale district of Kent. It is located by the Swale, a section of sea separating the Isle of Sheppey from the mainland, as well as sitting beside the Roman Watling Street. Sittingbourne offers a number of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as the historic Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway. For lovers of the outdoors there are plenty of places to visit, explore Milton Creek Country Park or head over to the Elmley National Nature Reserve on the Isle of Sheppey. Further afield are the towns of Rochester, Royal Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone as well as the city of Canterbury. With easy travel links to plenty of towns and cities as well as London, Sittingbourne is a convenient base for exploring the surrounding areas. The railway line links to London Victoria and St Pancras, the journey taking about an hour.

Just outside Alpaca Lodge are dozens of country paths to explore, leading over meadows and into woods, so lace up those walking boots and stride out to enjoy Kent at its finest. We have quiet country lanes for cycling and as well as cycle-friendly footpaths including the Saxonshore Way, the Pilgrims Way and the South Downs Way. And a short drive away is The Crab and Winkle cycle route in Whitstable.

We are within a short drive to Leeds Castle, Canterbury, Chatham Historic Dockyard, Whitstable (especially for the Oyster Festival), Rochester, and in about an hour you could be in London or seaside towns such as Birchington and Broadstairs.

Kent is full of beautiful countryside and has lots of wonderful villages to visit, Chilham, Pluckley, Smarden, Tankerton to name just a few.

- Headcorn Aerodrome (www.headcornaerodrome.co.uk/) – take a picnic and spend the afternoon watching the light aircraft and parachutists, the Spitfire is a spectacular regular visitor.

Here you will find events and exhibitions throughout the year, including the Kent County Show which is held over three days and includes displays of all forms of farming, foods and rural lifestyles.
