About this listing
Cozy private room with balcony, located on one of the best zones of the city. About 20 minutes walking from "La Candelaria", downtown and a lot of museums, nice restaurants and touristic spots. With a nice view of the sunset.
Quiet, clean and homely. On the balcony and the windows you can see several trees, ready to greet you on the awakening.
We love our apartment for its location. Close to all major museums, theaters and cultural centers in the city. Some museums nearby are Gold Museum, National Museum, Museum of Modern Art.
If you want to know the historic "La Candelaria" you can walk to. This sector has been chosen by many foreigners living in Bogotá, because of its proximity to one of the best dining areas and its lovely setting, with a great view of the city and surrounding trees.
La Macarena is located on a little hill, where you can have nice views of the landscape and the mountains. Our building has no elevator, but you can be sure of always getting a helping hand with your bags ;)

Interaction with guests
I work most of the time at home, so if you need information or know something, you could reach me most of the time. On weekends we like going out and walk, so if it suits you, we can accompany you on your sightseeing plans.
It all depends on you. If you are more of the reserved type, we give space and privacy.
La Macarena has become a favorite area for foreigners living in Bogotá. With a good location, tranquility, proximity to cultural sites and beautiful surroundings with views of the city and steep little streets.
Transportation options are fabulous. With a "Transmilenio" (kind of Metro) station close and also close to one of the quickest routes in the city (Avenida Circunvalar). However, your best option to move to downtown would be walking. Downtown has is main road close to traffic so is easier to walk through but not so much to take buses.
Coming from the airport you could take a Cap por Uber, any of them for just about 10USD
Other things to note
We speak English.
We prefer no smoking inside the house. If you need so, you can always go to the balcony ;)
