La Pressoir is located in the southern Loire valley, with its vineyards, rolling countryside, chateaux and medieval cities. Close to the historic city of Richelieu, famous for its Cardinal of the same name and 15 minutes drive from the lovely fortress town of Chinon, the only town in Europe not to have a set of traffic lights. Nearby abbey of Fonttevraud contains the tombs of Henry II, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine and their son Richard the Lion Heart. Royal Loches is a pleasant day visit.
La Pressoir cottage is adapted from the old wine press and features a living room with original oak beams, open plan kitchen, shower room/toilet. The double bedroom is located on the mezzanine floor with twin beds and fitted wardrobe. There is a small terrace to the front with a BBQ.
Guest have access to the large courtyard with a covered eating area, the gardens, walled swimming pool with solar shower, seating area and day room with a drinks fridge.

Other things to note
Cycling and walking are a key part of this area and the new 'green route' cycle and pedestrian way using the existing, but derelict railway line that connects the city of Richelieu and the fortress town of Chinon will be opening in the Spring of 2017. It runs along the picturesque valley of the river Veude and later upstream, the little river Mable.
