We're offering a spacious double room in our beautiful Glasgow tenement. Just one stop on the train from Glasgow Central Station, bus and subway nearby and with free on street parking, we are ideally located to enjoy all Glasgow has to offer.

The space

One large double room with a comfortable double bed, a sofa, plenty of space for two plus wardrobe and drawer space for your clothes.

Guests also have shared access to our wooden floored living room with wood burning stove, our large and well equipped modern kitchen, and our new bathroom with monsoon shower and double ended bath. Guests are welcome to cook and dine in the kitchen and are invited to help themselves to breakfast including home made bread, cereals/muesli, eggs, fruit and yoghurt, plus tea/herbal tea and real coffee from our Gaggia coffee machine.

We welcome travellers with babies and can provide a travel cot if required.

Please note we are on the second floor.

Due to our working patterns, we will not always be able to accommodate every day as an arrival day even if it is showing as available on the calendar. Please feel free to send an enquiry about dates.

Interaction with guests

This is a family home and as such, whilst you may find you have the flat to yourself for some of the time, please be aware that we will be living our normal lives during your stay. The flat is large however, so there's ample space for privacy within the shared rooms available, in addition of course to your room. We are always delighted to welcome friends and guests to Glasgow and would love to help you enjoy your stay to the full with suggestions on places to visit, eat and drink. We go walking and camping all around Scotland and can advise on the best places to go to enjoy the amazing Scottish mountains and lochs. Glasgow is a cultural hub, with live music, theatre, dance and art collections ensuring there is something for everyone.

Other things to note

Free on street parking outside the flat.

Really great location and close to the train station. I walked most days to the city with centre with ease. The apartment was really spacious and clean, the hosts were fantastic and very friendly. Would recommend.

Jessica, Fergus + Nancy, are just lovely people! it was a pleasure staying with them in their gorgeous, spacious tenement flat! Our room was huge, great bed, very comfortable, couldn't have been better. Breakfast as well, included in the price, so great for those like us on a budget. Also, close to centre and a very interesting area itself - south of the river is the place to be.. Would definitely recommend + stay again. Thanks guys X

Jessica and Fergus (and their sweet girl Nancy) are wonderful hosts - friendly and full of great suggestions for places to go and where to eat. Their flat is beautiful - very clean and full of interesting quirks and tonnes of character. The room was large, flooded with natural light and the bed was very comfy. Very little noise from the street below. Breakfast was simple but generous (muesli, yoghurt, toast, jam, tea, coffee). It was nice to have use of the kitchen to make tea and coffee (lovely espresso machine too!) at any time. The flat is in a nice area with some groovy bars and decent places to eat. Good location to explore Glasgow from. We would definitely recommend and are already thinking about planning a return trip... !

A lovely home who are all very welcoming. A substantially bigger than most bedroom set in a quiet, residential area close to transport links to and from Glasgow City Centre. Jessica and Fergus are lovely hosts, very welcoming and happy to talk and answer any questions. Really lovely family and very happy to recommend to others.

Hi - I'm a freelance cellist living with my husband Fergus and our daughter Nancy in Glasgow, Scotland. We are both musicians, and when not working we love travelling and good food. We like relaxed holidays where we can mix seeing local sights with regular stops for coffee/beer/cake/tapas and enjoy some warm weather and sunshine. We prefer to stay in apartments rather than hotels because they have more personality and because it's nice to have our own space in a city. We speak a bit of French as well as English, of course. We have used Airbnb as guests on many occasions now, and have been hosting since 2014.
