Location

Ottawa, Kansas, United States

The bike trail heads for the Flint Hills Nature Trail and Prairie Spirit Trail are a 1/2 block away.

The historic downtown is on Main Street which is within walking distance.
If you like coffee, Mug Shots is the place to get your fix. They have a variety of beverages as well as bakery items --- delicious sandwiches as well.
One of my favorite local stores is Take It Outside. It is an Army Surplus store. There is always something useful and interesting to buy.
In the oldest building on Main Street you will find Ottawa Bike and Trail. Jeff repairs bikes as well as selling variety of bikes and gear. He also plans bike tours for bike enthusiasts. Bike riders meet at the shop for weekly bike rides - everyone is welcome to ride! Stop in and swap biking stories with them.

One more nugget to share. Ottawa has the oldest (1905) movie theater in the world according to the Guinness World Book of Records. Stop in and watch a movie in the comfortable seats. If you don't have time for a movie, check out the museum in the theater. They are continually adding to the movie memorabilia.
