São Nicolau is a very pleasant and peaceful island, especially for those coming from big cities like me, from São Paulo.

The island is delightful, has a spectacular climate and incredible landscapes.
However, what I would emphasise most here is something that is becoming more and more scarce every day...

PS. Due to the instability of food prices, we prefer to remove the price of breakfast from the room rate.

The space
We are a family project and we value the details that flash before our eyes every day. Like a hawk perched in front of the house or an owl in the trees... Wild animals are welcome here and everything we do is aimed at not disturbing them. That's why our construction is entirely on land, not using the sand of the beaches where turtles, among other species, lay their eggs. Our luxury is to be integrated into nature.

Our Guest can access all house, specially in the garden, where have a nice chillout place.

We have some services here like lunch, dinner, laundry and day tour.

Here in the house we try to use only natural food, direct from the garden or fresh fish. Of course that sometimes we need to use rice or pasta, and this products come from outside. But we don't use Knorr or others chemicals to give flavor, nor too much oil or salt, it's all very natural and healthy.

The daytour it's a tour on the west shore of the island, all day long. We like to stop on the places and enjoy it. Not only stop for photo and go. We can organise tour for another island spots too.

Natural beauty - The Farinha de Pau - Eco Project is located just 20 minutes from one of the 7 wonders of Cape Verde, the Carberinho. On the left side, you have a incredible view the back of the Praia Branca Peak, with its huge cliffs, and a sandy beach at the base, with access only by the sea. And in the right side, with a light walk, we arrive at a delightful natural pool known as Rotxa Furód (Pierced Rock), where in front of the pool, there is a rock which prevents the waves arrive, but she has a hole through which only pass the water movements generated by the waves. This creates a fun Inside the pool movement, where you can float and let the movement take us freely. Around the pool, the black sand provides a perfect place to make a picnic and spend a good time there. More forward, you will find the seven lagoons. Are small natural lagoons, which linked together, they create a nursery for small fish and other animals.
