Bert is an excellent host. She's very concerned with making sure that you have everything you need during your stay. She's conscientious in her efforts to explain the location and operational details of various pieces of equipment in the flat and I got the impression that she really cares about the quality of your stay in her place. She's clearly a very talented artist, although I found some of the pieces a little macabre for my taste. During my stay, I always found myself fascinated with the details of yet one more piece of artwork hanging nearby as I went about my business. As a bit of a minimalist, I eventually found the experience a little overpowering to the senses, but I was exhilarated by the change in scene from what I'm frequently used to. That flat is very secure, being situated in a gated compound. There is lots of light and the view that you get of the sunset in the evening is spectacular. There is a constant low-level noise in the bathroom and bedroom from some kind of ventilation system, but that should not be a problem to most people, as it's barely noticeable unless you're particularly sensitive to noise. Generally, the flat is very quiet, with little or no noise from the neighbours or the outside environment. Bert's Wi-Fi is excellent, providing lovely fast download speeds for your internet experience. The Regents canal is a couple of minutes walk away, as are an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants. At the weekend, one of the nearby roads is closed to traffic and a market takes place there, with tasty-looking foods available. There are lots of buses within five minutes walk and Cambridge Heath Overground station is also less than ten minutes walk away, so transport links are excellent. I had a peaceful and enjoyable stay in Bert's flat.
