We, two adults + two dogs + two children, spent a lovely weekend in the cottage. Jeane and Ruud were very welcoming and gracious guests. The stone cottage is a sort of primitive paradise with the heat mainly supplied by a wood burning stove (there is also electric heat), meals by candlelight, and some ducks swimming around out front. It is a beautiful spot in the world and the property with it's surrounding fields and woods were great fun to explore. We would definately like to return.

This place is just a paradise on earth! (Trust the pictures! The atmosphere, though.., you gotta be there..!) The chateau, the cottage, the gallery are architectural treasures; and the scenery, the woods and surroundings are truly breathtaking! So lush and idyllic and beautiful! Rustic and rural and really a place to rest - yet still so pulsating and vibrant with hints and references from all over the world. This place really has it all! And in all the right ways at that! And the people (best host ever Jeane/family/work-ins/...) are just plain wonderful (and so are the cats, duck(lings), chickens and dogs!)!! An honour it is to have met them. It´s the kind of place you just don´t want to leave, but it´s also a place you vow to return to... Just go there!

Jean & Ruud were most gracious hosts and we felt more like friends/ guests than clients. The Gite has a little pond at the front and Api the duck let us pat him, the 6 kittens were constant companions for our children and the grounds kept them occupied discovering nooks and crannies. We used the Ping pong table a lot as well. We enjoyed three delicious dinners (€35 for adults/ €15 for children) and enjoyed discussions with the other guests including on two evenings Mr Burnand a descendent of the original 15th Century owners(!)

Anyone loving art, history and who is warm-hearted will enjoy feeling the energy that this property brings. Myself, I have traveled all my life and understand the need of feeling at home wherever one is, this feeling is universal and attainable through humanitarian hospitality and understanding. I enjoy sharing my undying enthusiasm about life and its wonders, the source of which we search wherever we go, so many things to tell, so much to see, so much to experience and when we think we're there, it is still a long way to go...
