Hillside Cottage is nestled within the former Grammar School House which was built in 1836. This stunning Cumbrian cottage also had its foundation stone laid by Wordsworth himself.

The cottage is situated just a short stroll from Bowness Bay and the lake, within the heart of this ever popular Lakeland village. Circumscribed by local shops, pubs and restaurants; with the benefit of free parking, the attractions of the village can all be accessed easily on foot.

The space
Hillside Cottage is accessed via the sun patio at front of the property. There is a car park to the rear of the property up a steep hill where 2 parking spaces are available.

Accommodation is set over 3 floors.
Entrance to the ground floor comprising of 1 twin bedroom, 1 king bedroom and one bathroom with over shower bath.
Up to the first floor to find an open-plan living space, with large picture window opening onto a balcony boasting picturesque views. There is also a further double bedroom.
Characteristic spiral staircase leads to the converted attic where our family room consists of a double bed, small double captains bed (more suitable for 2 children/1 adult) and an en-suite with shower.

Other things to note
Weekends are 3 nights minimum stay. 2 night stays may be considered depending upon the time of year.
