Description

The space

Enjoy your own private apartment just steps from Gasworks Park, University village, and Burke Gilman Trail. The apartment unit is a Mother-In-Law Unit in house in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. The house was built in 2002. The entrance is from the backyard of the house.

The unit is a Mother-In-Law Suite in the basement of the house shown. It has it's own entry from the back of the house. To get to the unit, you'd walk up the stairs to the house, down the pathway shown to the backyard, and then through the door to the unit from the back patio area.

The bed is a full sized bed, comfortably sleeps 2 if you're willing to get cozy!

Parking is available on the street. If you have a bike, you can store it in the backyard in the gated area.

The unit has a washer/dryer, cable tv, wifi internet (can be spotty towards the back of the apartment), plates, utensils, drinking glasses, dresser/nightstand, hangers for your clothes, etc. Should cover the basics. If there's anything else in particular you're wondering about, feel free to ask!

No smoking or pets, please.

Guests will have access to the furnished apartment unit shown in the pictures. It has a private entry via the back of the house. I will meet you to give you the keys, or arrange a place for you to pick it up.

The guests will have access to come and go on their own. There will be no interaction with the homeowner, except to exchange keys if needed, but we're available by phone/email if you need anything during your stay that we can help with!

Great walk score, neighborhoody, close to bus lines.
Close to Gasworks park, 2 blocks from Burke Gilman, University Area, Etc.

Bus 26 goes from 2 blocks up the street to downtown. Easy access to bike trails and University.

This is an apartment unit attached to a house. People (including myself) are living in the house, but no real noise makes it downstairs, it's very quiet.

Guest access

Guests have the entire apartment unit shown to themselves.

Interaction with guests

You will have your own private entrance, so most guests I don't even see. However, if you need anything or there's anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable, just ping me!

The neighbourhood

1 block from the Burke Gilman & Lake Union; Walking distance to Gas Works Park which has gorgeous views of Lake Union & Downtown & the space needle, Bike Trails, Fremont shops/bars/cofee shops/activities are walking distance away. Walking distance to University of Washington.

Clean and modern looking and well maintained property in a neighborhood convenient to downtown. Good access to transit. Walkable. Next to the Burke Gilman Trail and the north shore of Lake Union. Walkable access to UW too. Apartment is in a pleasant daylight basement, not musty or basementy at all, but there is a humidifier unit that can either be used to generate white noise if you prefer, or can be turned off if you want the quiet to prevail. There is a flight of steps up to get to the back of the house and some additional steps down to the apartment itself. Great WIFI and large flat panel TV in the living room. Our host was welcoming.

Great place. The party going on upstairs was a little loud. Other than that, no complaints.

Great place to stay! The apartment was very clean and very close to bus stops to both downtown Seattle and U-district (as well as the Burke-Gilman trail). Everything was as described in the listing. Definitely would recommend! :)

This listing was just as described! The location cannot be beat if you are looking for a central refuge which you can explore the city from. By car, just about everything was a 5-10min drive. We were sampling food and beer all over the city and when we needed a moment to rest, this listing was an oasis. It is in close proximity to so much, but the street and neighborhood is very quiet. This is a basement apartment in mint condition. Be prepared to climb quite a few stairs to and from the home. I think that the orientation of the home being raised off the street gives it that extra cozy and private feel. Dimple was very responsive and helpful before and throughout our stay; she really set us up for a smooth reservation. I only wish that we could have stayed longer!

Dimple´s apartment is a very good option to stay in Seattle. It is close to U-district and fremont. The bus stop is just 2 blocks, you can go to UW, Fremont or Downtown in just 10-30 minutes. You can also park your car on the street, it has enough space there. The apartment is wide, clean and well equipped (as looks on photos). I didn't have any problem, Dimple is a easy going person and always be available for my request or doubts.

Dimple's basement flat was ideal for what I wanted - a base from which to get to know the new city that I'd moved to; there was plenty of space, a good kitchen and lots of storage available. One weekend morning there was one minor issue (caused by the local fire department!!) and Dimple was very quickly able to figure out what was going on and resolve the problem. Both downtown and Fremont/Ballard are easily accessible by bus and it was a great place to explore the city from but also come back to and have some peace and quiet

Hi! Welcome to Seattle! We have a home with a separate apartment unit in the basement and would love to share it with those looking to check out Seattle.

I work at a local Startup in Seattle. I'm from Kansas City originally, went to college & graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. I've been in Seattle for about 4 years now.
