1930s creek-side cottage in historic + charming Beckley Club Estates- rated one of the top ten North Texas neighborhoods by D Magazine. Think one way bridges, creeks, old trees, ivy- and even a flock of peacocks. Each room has a private entrance leading to a little (common) side yard with rustic-charm and a little coffee-drinking spot where you can hear the water. Still, you're steps from urban life. I love it here, and I hope you do, too.

House:
-This is a charming, old home. It’s charming but not in a new, fancy way! It’s not hotel-y even a little, but people who like unique and charming spots seem to like it here. I do! I’m obsessed with Oak Cliff and my little neighborhood in it, and this helps me pay for grad school (counseling) on a teacher budget. Everyone wins!
-creek-side cottage with (unguaranteed) driveway or street (plenty, right by room, very low traffic road) parking. The home has an attached studio converted garage, which is where I or a guest wil likely be staying. Entrances and yards for these spaces are completely separate, with a storage room between the two spaces- provides an extra layer of privacy.

-Beckley Club Estates in popular North Oak Cliff
-1 mile from Bishop Arts District ($6 Lyft Ride)
-3.5 miles from downtown ($9 Lyft Ride)
-Easy access to I35
-Under 20 minutes to Love Field Airport
-3 miles to Kay Bailey Hutchins Convention Center
-25 minutes to DFW Airport
-1 mile to nearest train station
-1 block to bus stop (I don’t think this stop runs on Sundays)

Surveillance
-The property has security company monitored cameras outside and one inside. No private areas, of course— but count on all shared areas being security monitored. This makes me feel safe, and it makes a lot of other guests feel safe, too.

You have a full kitchen, dining, bathroom, living room and side yard.

Other things to note
I have two dogs that stay with me in the mother in law house side and that have a separate part of the yard.

Your pets are welcome here! Because I do short term stays, I ask that pets stay on leash in common areas (in this case, that's just outdoor areas, really). This prevents any between-animal drama and keeps everyone feeling really safe about their pets.
