Where you’ll be

Mochignano di Sotto, Toscana, Italy

The tiny village of Mochignano di Sotto (pn. Mokkignano dee Sotto) or "Chiesa" (pn. Kiesaa) inhabited by 20/30 people hosts a family restaurant, tasty and cheap, and is very close to the picturesque historic village of Bagnone with its medioeval Castle. Bagnone is endowed with all services (banks, restaurants, a little museum, Post office, cafeterias). The weekly market is held on mondays. The last week of every month an antiques and typical products fair animates the streets of the village. The Lunigiana region is rich of ancient villages, paths and woods, creeks, karst caves that you can visit. Pontremoli hosts a museum and a castle. The legendary coastline of 5 Terre and other fantastic seaside resorts are easy to reach for daily trips. You will be also surprised by a visit to Montemarcello and Lerici. Portofino is one and 20 min by car or by train, like Pisa with its tower and the beautyful Tuscan town of Lucca.
