Silver Lining Haven is a classic, newly remodeled 1966 Streamline trailer. She's super comfy with a fun bohemian vibe, and nestled in a pretty patch of desert. A ten minute walk brings you to Playa Los Cerritos, the best swimming beach with the most consistent surf around. While close enough to walk to restaurants, bars, surf, the property feels remote. Catch sunset from the deck, stargaze at night, and wake to the sounds of birds and waves crashing.
The space
We are a Boutique Eco-Conscious Hotel called Casa Oceana Cerritos with a total of three rentals. The owners (2 adults and a child) and their two dogs live on the property, keep an eye on things and are available to answer questions and give suggestions if desired.

Casa Oceana has strong ceiling fans and a fairly constant ocean breeze (we are at least 5 degrees cooler than Todos Santos) but does not have air conditioning. Many people do not realize that it is quite chilly here at night from Dec-June so the more important thing to know is that the bed has a warm comforter.

We are located in Cerritos, a beach neighborhood 8 miles south of Todos Santos (15 min by car). This area is for people who want to get away from the city, have an adventure in the desert, play, surf, enjoy beach life, and relax in a small town immersed in art and culture.
Cerritos Beach is the main beach in the Todos Santos area for swimming, playing, and for consistent surf. The beach has a very welcoming vibe, with families playing in the water, people of all ages taking surf lessons, and folks enjoying tacos and margaritas at the waterfront restaurants. In the winter you can’t look at the water without seeing a whale blow. Other beaches in our area and in Todos Santos are beautiful for sunsets but are mostly not swimmable due to steep shorelines and large waves. For an ocean filled beach vacation, Cerritos is the place.
Our little neighborhood has great restaurants and bars with occasional live music as well as options for hiking, yoga, surf lessons, and massage - all within 10 min walking distance. Within 5-10 min drive you’ll find grocery stores, spas, coffee shops, an organic market and bakery.
Todos Santos (15 minutes north) is a charming, vibrant, artist village, with great restaurants, shops, galleries, and cultural events.
Important things to note:
This accommodation is best enjoyed with a car. The closest that public transportation comes to this property is 1 mile away. You are welcome to stay here if you don’t have a car, just be prepared to walk from the highway or take a taxi from Todos Santos (400 pesos). There is no local bus system or ride share (uber lyft) options here. There are some great restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance but more complete dining options are a short drive away. Overall, a car will make it much easier to explore all that this area has to offer!
Airbnb now automatically charges the additional 16% sales tax and 3% hospitality tax that the Mexican government requires (same as when you stay at hotels).
Other things to note
The roads in our neighborhood (and everywhere except downtown Todos Santos) are dirt and bumpy. Any economy car will work fine, just go slow over the bumps.
We have two other rentals onsite in Casa Oceana Guest House. They are suites with private bathrooms and porches and a shared outdoor kitchen - 10% discount off each additional room rental.
