Very conveniently located to walk into Newburyport. Lovely old quirky home with lots of character, both the house itself and the artefacts collected by Anne and Chuck on their travels. We were made very welcome by Anne and Chuck

We had a great stay with Anne and Chuck in their house Newburyport. Their house is a genuine historic building, in a great, very convenient area and Anne and Chuck are the perfect hosts. Their house is lovely and the bedroom was excellent, very, very comfortable. Chuck is a mine of information on the town and provided great recommendations on what to see, where to go and where to eat out. Our only regret is we were only staying one night. Newburyport is a beautiful town, well worth staying a minimum of 2 or 3 days. All in all a lovely couple and a great place to stay - a real winner.

Walking into Anne and Chuck's home is walking into your own. What a beautiful location and Anne could not have been more gracious. Excellent accommodations and a really nice atmosphere. Anne turned us on to a great place to eat where the locals go--The Grog. Excellent food and lots of fun. Thanks Anne!!

This B&B is in a lovely destination and in walking distance to major sites. The room was comfy and it was easy to share the bathroom with the other guest on the floor. Anne and Chuck are friendly and helpful. They are there if you need them, but you come and go as you please. We recommend.:)

The beautiful 167 Water BNB is a true gem! In all of our previous travels through airbnb, none have met the level of generosity, flexibility, helpfulness and ease that were provided by Chuck and Anne. The location was superb- only a short walk to the lively and historic downtown of Newburyport, while a quick drive in the other direction brings you to beautiful beaches. Furthermore, their historic home provides a cozy and warm environment that ensures a peaceful and restful stay. It is easy to get lost in the amazing collections of art and artifacts, coupled with fascinating stories of travel from both hosts. Lastly, while our trip length had to be shortened last minute due to an unforeseen conflict, Anne and Chuck were incredibly flexible in allowing us to adjust our plans to make the most of our brief stay. Never before have we worked with hosts more flexible than these two wonderful people! An extraordinary place with two extraordinary people!

The house and room were beautifully decorated and comfortable. I loved sitting in the patio area that overlooked Anne's peaceful little back yard. A close drive to beaches and a short walk to town. It was a great location and Anne was very good at making us comfortable, answering questions, and also giving us our privacy. Although there were two other guests there at the same time, we felt like we had plenty of space to relax on our own while at the house.

My husband, Chuck, and I are retired and love to travel. We have lived in Europe and Africa - West Africa where I was both a Peace Corps volunteer (Tunisia and Cameroun), and PC staff (Niger and Senegal). We spend the winter in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and run a B&B in the beautiful town of Newburyport Ma - north of Boston - the rest of the year. In San Miguel, Chuck paints and I take weaving classes. I love textiles!

Every year, after Mexico, we take a long trip on our way home. This year we are driving up the west coast to Vancouver Island. I have never been to the north west.

To read about our travels, go to Under "Your Hosts" you can see stories and photos.

We love having a B&B and meeting people. And as we are so used to having guests in our home, we promise we will be perfect guests in yours!
