Everything about this cottage feels comfortable and cosy, and feels 'oh so relaxing' as soon as you walk in the door. The sitting room is as pretty as a picture and the well-equipped galley kitchen has a dining conservatory extension that leads into the sunny enclosed courtyard garden. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (a king-size and a full-size bunk room), a bathroom and a second sitting room, that rather takes you by surprise with its full size picture windows to make the most of the wonderful far reaching views across open countryside at the back of the cottage. This is a lovely place to sit and read, look through a pair of binoculars, or watch the sun go down with a glass of wine when the children are in bed.

First & Last is a perfect combination of a coastal retreat with a rural feel which will be enjoyed by small families, couples and friends, both in summer and winter. If you are not familiar with this part of Norfolk, give it a try, you will love it! Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage. The local beaches are dog friendly all year, and the popular beach cafe at nearby Overstrand is well worth a visit with easy access to the beach there.

Neighbourhood highlights

Trimingham is peaceful coastal village four miles south of Cromer, two miles from Overstrand, and three miles from Mundesley making it the perfect base from which to explore this lovely part of both rural and coastal North Norfolk. There are fabulous beaches at Overstrand and Mundesley, and from the latter you can walk the coastal path to Cromer. Woodlands Holiday Park, situated at the Overstrand end of the village, has a clubhouse and swimming pool - both open to non-residents.

Overstrand is a pretty, coastal village that was known as 'the village of millionaires' during the Victorian era. Still retaining old fashioned seaside charm, this sleepy village has not changed too much. A busy Cliff Top Café is popular with locals and visitors. There's a nice walk along the sandy beach or coastal path to Cromer.

The lovely family orientated traditional seaside town of Cromer has an award-winning pier, beautiful beaches with rock pools, cliffs and great sandy expanses, plus many fabulous independent places to eat out. Check out the new Fino Wine Bar, a neighbourhood restaurant serving modern British and European dishes. Cromer is known locally as Norfolk's surfing hot spot - lessons and equipment hire can be booked at Glide Surf School. Cromer Museum tells of the town's maritime history and a fun, family day out at Amazona Zoo is a must. Cromer Pier has a Pavillion Theatre, the only of its kind in the country, which stages traditional variety shows and live music events. With so many carnivals, markets and festivals, there is always something entertaining going on in and around Cromer.

There are some excellent gastro pubs nearby too which are well worth a visit, namely the Ship Inn in Mundesley, The Gunton Arms and The Suffield Arms at Thorpe Market, plus The Vernon Arms at Southrepps - be sure to book ahead.

The fabulous National Trust properties of Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park are a short drive away, with the stunning Blickling Hall situated a little further.
