The Old Chicken House is a stunning, purpose built, oak cabin set in woodland just over the lane from the beautiful Otterford Lake walks. The luxurious interior provides a perfect couples escape.
Inside, the cosy lounge area with woodburner leads into the open plan kitchen, king-size bedroom & en-suite. With its rustic design & new fittings - the Chicken House is truly unique
Ideal location, only 5 mins from main trunk road access, yet this part of the Blackdown Hills is virtually silent
The space
Within proximity to the main house yet completely private,secluded and not overlooked. Whether you need somewhere to just unwind and escape or just a base from which to go exploring, this little piece of paradise gives you all options.
The Wood Fired hot tub over looks the valley, perfect for star gazing. its very private and in no way over looked by any other properties.

WE LIKE TO MAKE GUESTS AWARE THAT THE OLD CHICKEN HOUSE IS LOCATED BEHIND OTTERHEAD HOUSE - THIS IS USED AS A FAMILY HOLIDAY LET. ITS IN NO WAY OVER LOOKED, BUT AS IT IS A HOLIDAY LET, SOMETIMES THERE MAYBE SOME NOISE AND WE LIKE TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THIS PRIOR TO BOOKING (This is reflected in the price)
THE HOT TUB IS WOOD FIRED RATHER THAN A PLASTIC ONE WITH BUBBLES (full instructions and everything you need is provided - it’s a really good experience )
Please follow the directions and you will see that there is a parking space, off the road on the side of the lane. Please walk across the handrailed footbridge and turn right, following the steps up to the veranda. At the top of the steps there is a light on the right hand-side for you use if arriving later.
