Diddlebury is a picturesque village in the quiet and beautiful Corve Valley. Ideal accommodation for wedding guests at nearby Delbury Hall, or as a base for a relaxing holiday in this fascinating and unspoilt rural area.

The space

We invite you to stay in our modern eco house, super-insulated and powered, as far as possible, by solar energy. We are situated on a quiet lane within the Diddlebury Conservation Area and next to the Delbury Hall estate. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens, which are managed as a wildlife habitat and include a wild wooded area and a natural stream. Our main guest room has a double bed with hypoallergenic mattress, and a wash basin. Tea and coffee making facilities are included in the room. You will also have sole use of the adjoining bathroom (accessed via a private landing area). Families are welcome and a single mattress or cot can be added if needed. A single attic room is available so extra friends or family can be accommodated - please ask for details.

Guest access

Guests have their own front door key. Come & go as you please!

Interaction with guests

We will always be here to welcome you, and give friendly advice about what to see and do in the area. We both work from home so may not be available at all times. We are musicians and Kitty gives music lessons, so you may hear us playing - see FolkFiddleTeacher for more details.

Other things to note

A simple breakfast (cereals, fresh coffee, home-baked bread & preserves) is provided for all guests. Gluten-free & vegan diets are no problem, but please let us know in advance. We are happy to provide a cooked veggie breakfast with local free-range eggs (£5 per person) or a tasty packed lunch (£8 pp) if pre-booked. Please note that the mobile phone signal may be poor. There is a pay phone in the village and you may use the house phone for essential calls (free to landlines). Our Wi-Fi is fine for e mails & watching i-player, but not super-fast. Occasional restrictions may apply. Please be aware that we do not have a TV licence.

We stayed for a family wedding at Delbury Hall, fantastic location only a short 10 minute walk away and everything we needed at our accommodation. Kitty and her husband (who's name I can't remember sorry!) were accommodating, friendly and great hosts with a fantastic breakfast. Would definitely stay again if was in the area.

Excellent communication from Kitty before our stay so that check in was very easy. Great location, very close to Delbury Hall where we were attending a wedding. Delicious breakfast and lovely hosts!

Kitty and Garry were very hospitable and friendly. Kitty responded to us immediately if we had any queries. Their home was lovely and comfortable and within walking distance of Delbury Hall, which was ideal for us as we were attending a wedding there. The breakfast was lush, especially the freshly baked croissants. Would definitely recommend! Arron & Jo

Kitty's home is amazing! Beautifully designed interior and the room/bathroom have everything you need for your stay. We don't have a young child but there was a cot in the room so would be perfect for families too! The breakfast was delicious and Kitty and her partner were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back to stay again!

What a wonderful spot! Kitty and Garry hosted us very warmly and we had a great little stay. We were attending a wedding at the nearby Delbury Hall and it was a perfect place to be based. Kitty kindly allowed us to get ready at the house before the wedding, which was much needed after a long drive. The room was spacious and spotless and we had everything we needed. Breakfast of museli, fresh fruit and toast and homemade jam was delicious. The surrounding countryside was really picturesque and we would certainly visit again for a longer stay next time. Thank you!
