Breakfast
This is one of a few places in the area that has this feature.
These beautiful huts are in the garden of the cottage where John Steinbeck lived in 1959. One has a double bed, another a living room space with wood burning stove, the third is a luxurious shower room. Wonderful views and walks. 2 nights minimum.

The space
These beautiful huts are finished to a high standard and fully insulated so you will be comfortable come rain or shine. They sit at the end of our large cottage garden which is on an organic dairy farm. John Steinbeck and his wife stayed in the cottage for several months in 1959, and just before he died, agreed that it was where they had felt happiest. We hope that you can experience the same pleasure from visiting this truly magical place.

Guest access
The bedroom hut measures 7' x 12' and has a double bed, sheepskin rugs, storage cupboard and comfy chair. The living room hut is the same size and has a wood burning stove (logs provided), day bed (for one extra person by arrangement), and is where we serve a locally sourced delicious breakfast. The newly completed shower hut is slightly smaller and has a basin, loo and shower (thanks to all our guests who have had to walk across the garden to clean their teeth until now). All the huts have electricity.
