Unwind, Replenish, Reconnect on top of Bald Mountain in a 24 Ft RV on 20 acres surrounded by National Forest only 7 miles from downtown Woodland Park and a 15 minute walk to Rampart Range Reservoir. The RV is stationary and cannot be driven. The area is spectacular.

The space

This Safari Trek is designed as a "boon dock experience" in the mountains. We live "off the grid" up here off of solar and wind so there is limited electic use. The RV has a solar panel and batteries. It has a new queen gel foam bed that electronically lowers from the ceiling and back up again giving ample floor space. It has a red leather look couch, 2 leather Chairs (one reclines and swivels) and 4 dining/desk chairs. The RV includes a kitchen with full refrigerator and freezer, double sink, dining table and smaller foldable desk table. The bath enclosed by a sliding wooden door has a shower, toilet, vanity, closet and skylight. The reclining passenger side chair can turn to face the window or the living room area.

Guest access

Guests have full access to the RV and surrounding area but not the area around the house which is rented separately on another listing, "The Landing" at Miracle Mountain.

Interaction with guests

We are on site daily.

Other things to note

We are 25 miles from Colorado Springs. An hour's drive takes you to Cripple Creek for gambling and a 40 minute drive takes you to Manitou Springs which houses the Cliff Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, and the Cog Railroad to the top of Pikes Peak.

Ray and his wife were great hosts! The RV was about 20 minutes from the reservoir - was worth the hike over there, beautiful views in the morning. The RV was really clean and the bed was comfortable.

So beautiful here! Bring blankets as it does get cold at night, but the hosts have extra ones available in the RV for your use. The host also provided us with coffee and chocolates! There are fabulous hiking trails trails that lead to/around a reservoir right next to the mountains behind the house and rv. The scenery made for a perfect trip!

Ray & Susan were excellent hosts. Is was very much as described. The serenity, beauty and peacefulness were beyond our expectation. RV provided good space for 2 although we spent much time enjoying the outdoors. We look forward to visiting again & highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the RV. The directions Ray provided in advance were very accurate. The location is in a very beautiful area, immersed in nature, with spectacular views. It is just a quick to a nearby resevoir, and the sunset/sunrise/stars are all phenomenal from up there! The RV itself was extremely cozy. There were towels, drinking water/coffee/tea, and there is a functioning toilet and shower! The bed is some sort of memory foam and cozy and could be stored out of the way for daytime use and more room. Ray and Susan are very kind and generous and you can tell they enjoy sharing their mountain home with visitors. I highly recommend a stay on their property!!

Ray and Susan were perfect hostesses, the RV spotless and the scenery breathtaking! With Rampart Reservoir minutes away and numerous hiking trails too, it was a beautiful, peaceful and wholesome get away from the normal day to day routine!

My wife and I built this house 20 years ago and have enjoyed living here "off the grid". We enjoy meeting people and traveling.
