Where you’ll be

Sjöbo S, Skåne län, Sweden

The guest cottage is beautifully situated on the hillside of Romeleåsen in southern Skåne. The ridge is a rock outcrop that rises from the surrounding plain. The highest point is 186 meters above sea level. When the glaciers melted after the ice age, the large sand plains were formed in the Vombsänkan. In other places, where the ice remained for a long time, a lot of lakes and wetlands were formed. Around the lakes, below the ridge, deciduous forests alternate with open fields in a rolling, undulating landscape. Romeleåsen holds Skåne's largest continuous beech forest with plenty of different hiking trails. The many estates, castles and manor houses put their distinctive mark on the landscape, with linden alleys and huge millennium trees, beautiful stone walls and well-groomed parks. The varied landscape at Romeleåsen and its surrounding lakes are of great natural-, culture- and environmental values, especially for recreation use and outdoor life.
